Bangi Haze

How much variation is there in the regular seeds? Any different phenos worth noting? I'm debating picking up a single 10 pack, or getting two 5 packs of different kinds to have a little fun with, but with only 5 seeds I don't want to risk not getting a good female pheno...

are you getting good resin production there, thaibliss? i can't see any at all. my outdoor panama is halfway through her supposed flowering time and i'm not seeing any sugar yet myself.

I'm seeing a healthy amount of variation in the four plants I have/am growing. I've only smoked one, and that is the variation I'm most interested in. We'll see soon.

I'm now getting very good resin production, and I forgot just how strong smelling it is. I'm really loving it, but I had some bad weather last week, and we're expecting more this week. There are two plants getting very close to being done. I'm going to risk letting them ripen more, in the hopes that the weather will clear and dry quickly.

Beautiful summer outdoor updates ThaiBliss :tiphat:

A pleasure to see them growing in soil and maturing so fast, looks like both Nepal Jam and Bangi Haze will be ready for early October.
I'm glad the Bangis are resinous and smelling strong.

Best wishes for the last 2 weeks of flowering!

I can't speak on the variations but I dropped 5 Bangi Haze in soil and got 4 females. All 5 popped out of the soil and within 3 weeks clearly showed either hairs or a cluster on top. All 4 are the same height, 3 have skinnier leaves and 1 has bigger Indica leaves.

Popped 5 Bangi Haze and received 4 females, all started from 12/12. Two look similar, one is slender with tight nodes and the last one is around 6-10 inches taller than the others already. They are currently on week 6. Anyone know the differences between them in the end result? Have 20 plants flowering from 12/12 in a 5x5 tent, mixed in with the Bangi Haze.

Just regular sand to stop gnats/larva's before it happens. I add a inch or 2 on top of my coco so they can't lay eggs as you probably already know. As for watering it only takes slightly longer for the water to actually run through the top layer. Stop and go a little more, don't want it getting to swampy.

Greetings,

Here are my most recent Bangi Haze pictures:

The Skinny Leaf one looks really close to me. The close up shot above looks perfect, but some of the bigger buds have a scattering of fresh white pistils. I believe I have heard more than once not to let Bangi Haze get too ripe for that energetic effect, which is one of the reasons I like it. I've only grown it once, so I'm reaching out to get opinions. Should I harvest the Skinny Leaf Bangi now, or next week?

The weather is supposed to be excellent for the next week, with cold nights and warm and dry days.

Dubi?

Anyone?

Thanks ahead of time,

ThaiBliss

hey bro, something goes wrong here they do not look very developed for 6 weeks of age and they allready flower, giving an expression like a lowryder. when you start 12/12 from seed I would start in cups like 0,2l then repot upwards when they have an etablished root system and start to stretch.

Thanks that was my bad I should have stated it's 6 weeks flowering since they popped out of the soil. Which means it's week 4 as you never count the first 2 weeks. They need that time to make tons of roots just like clones, as you probably know given your experience :tiphat:. Some of them are smaller because they take 18-24 weeks to flower. Most of them will take atleast 11-14 weeks. Last run I did 4 12/12's which were 2 CBD Mango Hazes an 2 G13 White widows(didn't have much space due to scrog). Mango hazes yielded nearly 4 oz's each(took 11 weeks) while the White widows yielded 2 oz's each(took 8 weeks). I am using the same grow methods as last time. I'm just not a fan of repotting my plants. I try not to disturb the soil as much as possible to prevent shock. Guess I'm just OCD about plant shock .

Dr, what is the size of your growbags?

3 gallons each. Most have 2 gallons of coco currently and once they get to their finish height before budding up all the way I will top off all the pots with coco. During that last month or so they love the extra coco for extra roots which increases the single cola yield.

This Bangi has me scratching my head. Most buds look like they need a couple weeks to ripen, but the trichomes are turning more and more amber everywhere I look. A few branches got taken down today because of this.

Trichs don't lie, wingdings.

Nice looking plants, man. Gotta pop some of my Bangi's one of these days.

This is a surprisingly pungent plant. Going back to it, it's much more earthy and herbal than my first impression but still quite sweet. I can also detect the sweet anise suggested in the description.

Anyway, I decided to give it an early test. It's at about 6 1/2 weeks and recently pushed out a fresh round of pistils. From observation, the trichomes appear to be a mix of cloudy and clear, with only a scattered amber here or there. I couldn't taste much since I didn't bother drying it out, but damn it was still potent. Came on fast. It was very energetic. A little too racy for me, actually. It came on highly euphoric and happy, which is what I'd hoped for, but the raciness unfortunately put a damper on that and could quickly turn euphoria into anxiety if I my mind went into a bad mental space. I'm very prone to do that, so I feel that's more a personal thing. It was extremely clean and didn't disrupt my thought processes like you'd expect with most cannabis. Virtually no body stone; just a little wobble in the lower half of the body, or the sensation of floating around while moving.

I'll keep an eye on it during the next week or two. I am hoping additional time will reduce the raciness somewhat while retaining the clean, euphoric, energetic qualities. If so, I will be quite pleased. The real test will come after harvest.

It seems to be growing and filling out much better than last time (this is re-veg #1). Definitely had WAY too much N in the soil mix for this plant to handle, and it seems to like additional PK in flower. The latter could just be a result of the flushing I did to eliminate the high N. I'm no expert, of course.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me out with this one.

The one that I grew indoors was not harvested especially early. Some of the top buds still had a spattering of white pistils, but almost all had died on the lower buds. It was energetic without being racy, and still had the euphoria that made me feel really good. Anti depressant weed for me. It also affected my balance and, interestingly, made my hearing more sensitive. I call it ear weed.
