Claustrum from Positronics

Hi all, anyone ever grown or smoked this..was bored on a Sunday doing some strain research and came across this one,,,sounds super yummy..3 of my all time fav smokes...

ANYONE EVER GROWN OR SMOKED HER?

Claustrum
-The Claustrum of Positronics is a mostly sativa marijuana type that resulted when these excellent pot strains were crossed- the Super Silver Haze, Jack Herer and Kali Mist. This strain is a perfect combination of 3 of the best among the sativas. It is a good choice for both indoor and outdoor pot cultivation. However, Claustrum has low resistance to fungus so growing them indoors will need appropriate level of humidity and temperature.
Even expert growers will be impressed with how fast Claustrum weed plants are when it comes to bud production. During vegetative phase, Claustrum can grow tremendously under the right type and correct spectrum of artificial lights used. The THC level is high (21%) which is more than enough to produce that positive, highly stimulating and energetic feeling.
This is one of the best-tasting marijuana sativas available. Smoking Claustrum buds produces a pine-like aftertaste with a hint of mint.

ps.: the "idea" of crossing hybrid sativas consisting 50% of skunk n nl with each other, will most likely result skunk, nl phenos... but hey, stating ssh kali n jack is always good for pitchings sales, and misleading the customer....

I remember visiting Positronics in The dam back in 1998 when i was there grabbed a few packs and they were pretty good plants

ps.: as far as i could figure, kulu trading, bought the remaining positronics stock back in the 90s or so, and these guys despite specializing in smoking accessoirs, are selling the 5 seed packs under the brand of kulu seeds, tried some of those, and the ice, hindu kush/skunk n blue mystic were PROPER!!!

Yeah watch out guys, this is the story, I just want to throw some light as this is a well known story at the spanish forums.

Wernard Bruining was a legend in the Holland's 90s scene, just like Neville Ben Dronkers and many other guys. Aparently, when Sam Skunkman came to Europe, Wernard was one of the guys who got seeds from him (Skunk, Haze, etc) so he worked with the legit stock as well. But the LEGIT Positronics seedbank went bankrupt back then in 90s and dissapeared, he lost most of his parent stock (most probably it became "lost" on hands of his own employees, who later started their own seedbanks: Nirvana, High Quality Seeds, The Sativa Seedbank Homegrown Fantaseeds...). Nice to read as well that info on Kulu Trading purchasing some reaining stock as well!

Some years ago, Sebastian, a greedy growshop owner from the spanish cannascene, had the oportunity to contact Wernard. As he was good friend of him, the spaniard just saw a great bussiness chance right there and offered him a deal.

Later this guy started his seedbank under the name of Positronics, after buying Wernard's consentment to use the name of his legacy. I think he also signed the death sentence of his legacy with this contract, because the name of Positronics is getting a bad fame nowadays. The spanish Positronics first started selling a special collectors pack with some real Posi seeds in a sexy tin case including: Old Ed, Crystal Mist and Double Fun. But later just carried on with the spanish-style, selling S1s, knock offs and so on.

Wernard was dissapointed because he probably just got pennies in exchange but the spaniards realized that they didn't need Wernard's seeds/genetics at all, as their good contacts with other bulk seed producers from spain provided them lot's of fun with their shitty rip offs and so on. Besides Wernard's angryness, some cash made him agree with the spanish sellers using his name, even the strain names (besides they don't have anything to do with their old classic stock) or a shitty logo where they use the dutch flag colors in the wrong order LOL.

Wernard passing the legacy to Sebastian, in exchange for some bucks bag we can't see on his hand behind him lol (good fame and respect is priceless though!!):

PS: besides the ethics shooty and the fact it's a bulk ripoff seed seller as others like Dinafem, Medical Seeds, Sweet Seeds and a BIG so on... i've read that their Cum Laude strain is a cross between Reina Madre and Tijuana, very well known and enjoyed sativas in Spain, the rest are probably bulk strains that many others offer too. Who knows the real source or make up!

damn! thx for the info, clears up things a little bit... i remember in 200x or so, cees from no mercy supply, was releasing the double fun (a shady guy to say the least if you axe me...), sine than that was the last "proper" release with wernards genetic i know off...

yepp, kc was also involved with them oldtimers hence: kc -> kc brains, sam -> ??? skunkman seeds/seedsman uk???, ed -> flying dutchmen, mau -> nirvana seeds, as far i was told...

actually i real shame if you ask me, instead of the "granddads" working together, sharing their knowledge n "genetics" and teaching n leading the next generation, it got so fuqed up and desintegrated... that's why $ and chemical drugs, should have no place in the cannabis "seedsmarket"

this is very true . i can make feminised seeds and have done from other 'top dollar' feminised seeds to suit my smoking purposes but if i want to experiment further i'd take advice and construct rather than destruct the gene pool. long live the plant and long live the toker. xx

Read the negative posts and felt I needed to respond. I have no idea who runs Positronics Seeds but I grew Claustrum this season (thats actually a lie, Judge) and it turned out just as dank and beautiful as advertised...a really strong sativa that finished bright gold....while my Barneys Acapulco Gold was dark purple...go figure...anyway, this plant is just as advertised and Im sure to plant it again.

Positronics were the first seeds I ever grew back in the early nineties and they were great.
I wouldn't grow these one's.
Cashing in on the good name of Posi is just wrong, poor Wernard deserves better, he done so much to promote growing your own.
Man's a legend.

I know...its 15 years LATER from the OP...today is Jan.2015 but I felt compelled to respond because I have grown out last years Claustrum seeds and they ended up being the best sativa I have ever grown. I was wholly impressed with Claustrum, its ease of growth, the dankness and the beauty of the colas....however, mold was an issue on the stems but that is more down to my growing environment than anything else...my Barneys Acapulco Gold (yeah, right..AG my ass...good but not the real deal..no way) got the same mold on the same stem locations...so, I cant really blame the strains..but I have had great success with Positronics seeds...I love em!

You didn´t mention that Sebas worked as sales rep at CannaBiogen.
