No in Mendocino people grow lots of vegetables in their garden. Early girl is a common name for strains that finish early show good vigor and yield decent. Flash is a similar designation. This Mendo Early is an old school strain grown in the Booneville region.
I call it Purple LUI but not sure how much of the original LUI is there. That's just what the person who gifted it called it. I'd say it's 1/4 or less Legend Ultimate Indica. The rest is Mendo fruity outdoor.
20 years ago I really liked the classic Early. Not sure how well it would stack up now but back in the day it was great. Finished early good yielding and vigor. I'd like to know more about it too a lot of those genes went into a lot of stuff around here.

Here's my Roadkill Unicorn. Needs a week or two more smells lavender tangy.

Oh and Harry, your purple type hash plant photos sort of qualify as purple. I do see a few purple calyxes. I wouldn't call it a true purple strain because grown indoors under a lot of conditions it would be green. I like that kind of strain.
Of course of seen true purple strains occasionally come out green. I have a green pheno of the Purple LUI I'd like to run next year.

Thanks Rev.

I´ll be soon germing Early Girl (Sensi Seeds) ; i hope is the same tan 10 years ago.
A Early/ Fast flowering plant is always going to be less productive.
Less flowering time = less production.

Looking for 45days/7 weeks phenos ready for 15th Sept.
I´ve grown Early Girl indoors with good results.

About the purple .......

In afghans is temperature related .
Others like Purple Thai, always show some colours at the end of flowering, not temperature related.
