I'm still dialing in my Blumat drip-fabric pot-coco grows. I've done MaxiBloom, Jack's, and Veg+Bloom (which I didn't like). Right now I've gone to MaxiGro in veg and 1:1 MaxiGro & MaxiBloom in flower. The Jack's seemed high in potassium and straight MaxiBloom seems high in phosphorus but I'm liking the Cannastats profile of MaxiGro with MaxiBloom.

Captain Jack's has a New "Hydro formula"
Have to keep it tightly sealed against humidity, but it seems to be a good match for coco.

Aloha,

Hey sanjuan
Why did you not like V&B?
I just ordered a sample
I searched but could not find Cannastats maxi bloom/maxi gro profile mix.
Could you post a link?
I wil be running 2 gallon smart pot with the sip method.
I did straight maxi loom last year but want to check out canastats thread
Weezard-
I say 2formulas for hydro on the jrpeters site.
Which one are you referring to.

Thanks

The Veg+Bloom left more fines and grit on the bottom of my reservoir. What I really didn't like was the sugar in it that caused brown slime and clogged my Blumat drippers. The plants liked it otherwise. It hardens up too easily, though, even in a sealed container.

I just plugged the averaged label numbers of MG and MB into the Cannastats calculator to see the ppm numbers and compared them to some numbers people are using (at another site) when they blend their own bulk salts or use Dosatron injectors.

The standard advice for jrpeters Jack's is 3 units of Jack's Pro Hydro with 1.8 (or 2) units of Calcium Nitrate and one unit of Epsom salts. Mix in the Pro NPK first, then the MgSO4 (epsom), then the CaCO3 (cal-nit). You can buy a combo pack of 4lb Jack's Pro Hydro with 4lb of Cal-Nit at the jrpeters site.

Captain Jack's is a different company and I don't see any hydro nute on the Bonide.com site.

jrpeter bought the Captain Jack's line.
The kind I'm using is
Captain Jack's Hydro FeED 16 4 17.
So far, I'm very happy with it.

Cool, I've seen that but hadn't heard of anyone using it. I became tired of weighing and mixing in the three parts each time I added water to the res. Some people make concentrated stock solutions beforehand.

Zackly why I tried it.
One teaspoon, one gallon, shake n bake.
Simple is my middle name. :)

My first name is "Frugal".
When I shook my bottle of Dynabloom and heard the crystallized salts rattle in the bottom even after diluting them 50:50 with distilled water when I bought it.
I switched to dry.:dance013:

Aloha,
Weeze
