they look very similar but i think the sour bubble has a more burnt rubber smell with sweeter hints to it (not that i have huge experience of smoking it)
it has that same kushy bottom end but not the incense/coffee tones that the bubba has.


its also probably slightly more potent than the pre-98 bubba cut, but not quite so tasty.

What, in your opinion, are the differences? I grew out a BK clone and 3 Sour Bubble Phenos from seed side-by-side, and I simply couldn't tell them apart without looking at the tags. Identical growth, identical look, identical smell, identical smoke. imho, of course.

I've grown both Sour Bubble and Verdant's pre-98 bubba s1s and imo there are a few similarities, like the appearance of the flowers in terms of frostiness and color, yet very noticeable differences. First and most noticeable difference is that Sour Bubble has several phenotypes, some that grow much taller than any bubba I've seen. Verdant's pre-98 is much more uniform with very little phenotype variation. The fan leaves on several Sour Bubble phenos are HUGE compared to Bubba and again you'll see much more variation in the fan leaves of Sour Bubble from plant to plant, while pre-98 is very uniform. The flowers on pre-98 form much rounder, golf-ball type nuggets and while the Sour Bubble flowers are clumpy, they aren't so perfectly round as the pre-98. Lastly, the smell and flavor of the two are different. Sour Bubble has a delicious sour lime skunky funk, while pre-98 has a richer, Cali-type coffee/mocha/kush taste and smell. Both are very potent, both are delicious, but imho they aren't the same.

Ran some peyote purple this year but I would rather run verdant's gear because peyote lacks smell and hard hitting potency unlike the pre 98. You have to email cannabiogen if you want to get peyote seeds.

Platinum bubba is pretty good, resembles pre 98 quite a bit and has a great high. This is a clone of her i got from harborside grown in a 5 gal grow bag out door.

My other plat bubba in a gh bed shows the yield potential she has. Highest yielding bubba I've seen.

Did the Bubba's ever get relisted over on the bay? I am so totally desperate to try them. I have been searching for something similar for about a year now to no avail at this point I would do just about anything to score a couple of those beans D: I have been checking the bay pretty consistently, but there is always a chance I missed them again I am so sad :'(
