Jellyfish, you are staggeringly lacking in information, or you have no concept of how devastating renal failure is to the patient, and everyone in their lives, and family! Imagine how your day would be, if in order to remain alive, you had to hook yourself to a machine that removed the excess toxins and fluids- for ten hours- ea day. And then toss in all the lab appointments and dr. visits, and just feeling like crap all the time ! that's just a glimpse of what a normal day in the "life" of a renal failure patient! Hope you seek some information before this disease takes you or someone dear to you into its grasp! Mike

What the fuck are you on about? All I said was, "can't hurt". Well, it can't, can it? Fuck!

misunderstanding, sorry.

misunderstanding, sorry.

Jelly..,
hey man I completely mistook your words in the previous text. I am sorry; I have a really hard time, dealing with the days and, often , people who act like there is nothing wrong with me because it isn't a visible disease, until the damage is done and too severe to stop. I was in the midst of a thought set, and mistakenly interpreted your words as an statement; rather than suggestion. I apologize sincerely, and appreciate your input. I hope you can understand my confusion, and sensitivity to the topic I thought you were referencing. Sincerely, Mike

Today is better.. my arm still has a very large swollen spot, on the inside of my elbow. I am told that is a large section of artery they brought out from under the muscle, to connect to the vein they intend to use for my dialysis. I am having a difficult day. The treatment went pretty good last night, I only had 45 minutes of alarm time. That has become a rare thing for me. Most nights I am up & down all night fighting the machine. It makes the following day a real drag, not only due to being tired from lack of sleep, but also from the poor quality of dialysis that results from interruptions in the treatment cycles. I am fortunate if I manage to sleep the entire night, without some disruption, once every two -three weeks.
I will be able to sleep all night again when I get back on Hemodialysis. It's a lot more complex and rough with danger to the extent of death. I think probably the worst way for me to pass would be for there to be some sort of emergency with my treatment, and Danielle being the only one to safe me; and not being able to. I know that the horror of such a devastation, would scar her emotionally for life, and I for eternity would mourn for her sorrow to end.
some days My thoughts aren't so bright and cheerful.. I need a pick me up..
Have a great day and listen to some Reggae music, almost always lifts my spirits.

thanks, ill check them out on Pandora.. I guess it is something that gets into your blood ,when you've spent several years in the islands. Reggae has a feel and rhythm that naturally uplift the spirit and lighten our step. I have spent a lifetime listening to Island Reggae, & I never have grown tired of it. I guess it's truth in lyrics and form are the attracting factors. maybe it just reminds me of home..
Have a great day, someday we all run out.. Mike
