Reversal question

So I had a thought for a project, I'm not too into fem seeds, but I wanna reverse my deathstar onto my headband. I've only reversed males before, so here's my question. If I flowered the deathstar for a month or so, popped a headband in there, and took the deathstar out during dark to get some nanners, would it make viable seeds since I light stressed her into pollinating? Don't wanna bother with cs or sts, was wondering if this would create stable offspring

its fine as far as the pollen will be the same regardless of the cause. or instance if its a hermie prone genetic itll pass it whether you forcedit to herm or not.
the issue withstress herms is that you would want a strain that method would be deficult with versus one that hermd from the mildest amount of stress. im guessing it would be hard to reliably get seed that way. sts+silver nitrate looks so easy compared to that. colloidial silver looks tedious and annoying. i just ordered my sts+silver nitrate off amazon. mix stock solutions and spray plants once. boom done.

Okay I figured it would be easy to get headband or deathstar to throw nanners putting one of them in the veg room for an hour or so a day during its dark time, I figured if I didn't have to spray the plant with sts I could still finish it's flower and blast it for whatever wax it would make, stoning two birds with one plant so to speak

You could just take a small clone of each and spray them with sts. They would produce a nice amount of pollen and you wouldn't have to stress your flowering plants.

Yeah the idea was to not have to treat either plant with anything so the pollen donor and mother could still be used to make some hash or wax, might just take the loss for the seeds, well worth it to have a nice pheno hunt down the road

Good luck with your project. I know the Deathstar clone very well, she is some really nice smoke im sure you'll find some gems in the reversal. I ran her for years until I lost her a few years back. I still have a few copies of the High Times issue with the Deathstar clone on the cover from back then. Keep us posted on the project.

I'll be picking up the tent this weekend, hopefully I will have the cash to buy filters and a fan by next week. Also pickin up the deathstar cuts this weekend, the mother plant at my buddies has been stressin all summer from the heat so I haven't been able to cut it. I'll start a thread for it in a month or two when the seeds are closer to done, and document the test grow. Sorry to hear you lost your deathstar, it's really a remarkable strain, maybe if anyone wants some ill look into how to send in seeds for testing/server fund for those that would like to try them. Right now were workin with a twisted fruit male from mota, making f2s, plushberry x twisted fruit, deathstar x twisted fruit, and a headband bx2 using twisted fruit as the first outcross. Learning a lot and loving every minute of it

Well if I can give you any advice on the deathstar it's that she is a light feeder. Less is more with this girl. Id be interested in some s1's, I would love to have a second chance with this girl if you ever decide to release some of those.

Oh we got her dialed in bud:) 6.5grams of well purged wax off of >14 grams of bud and a can of lucienne. I'd be more than willing to share I just don't know how that's officially done and I don't wanna violate any ic rules. We got some accidental s1s off her last winter, a friend grew them outside, they kept all the skunkiness but didn't have the density or girth of the original. My headband tested mid 20s when I got her a couple years ago, and my deathstar was 26 % when my buddy ran her so I'm thinkin this cross could be fire

So u ran d star before and know it naturally throws nanners late flower. Why not just collect pollen then. I always get a couple of seeds when I run d star. I used to throw them away but I decided to start one a little while ago. Also got some plushberry crosses going to d star, and tahoe.

Man I pushed 25% yield on bho runs with d star, how did u get close to 50%?

I can't take credit, my friend that I'm working on breeding projects with gave me the flowers of it that extracted 45% or so, he's just a master. That run was also not typical, I usually see 25-30% returns from my elites and 20% from my run of the mill moms. But I pull eight gs minimum from my headband and usually 8.5 to 9 out of average deathstar ounce runs. I've never got pollen from deathstar nanners at late flower, we pushed her 12 weeks last run, no seeds. Didn't like the buds that over ripe tho you couldn't tell it was deathstar without that heart pounding first half hour. Can't wait to see what comes out of headband deathstar cross
