how much can the 10x10s hold on their roof? All I could find online was 300 lbs for the 5x5. does that mean each 5x5 of the 10x10 can hold 300 lbs? im just trying to hang some raptors from the ceiling and 2 8in inlines. no can filters just hoods.

i also ripped the seem of on one of the exhaust ports. it has 2 different things to cinch down on ducting. what can i use to glue the seem shut? im afraid sewing will only make more holes for light to leak through.

i plan on setting up a journal for this grow and giving back to the community.

Those Gorillas are insane. If anything can handle a can filter, they can. I bet it does it easily. I wouldn't be surprised if you could hang an air conditioner on the corners. They're that strong.

A shop owner and I tested it by hanging on it like they do on their ads. Another employee came to join us.

I'm very confident you could hang whatever you want in those things.

Absolute load is quite different from working load.
Also that much weight on the roof can cause severe side loads or angular loads beyond the working/live load that it was designed for.

I have one of these and from a permanent safety standpoint, I don't think that I would want 300lbs hanging there. I want to say I'm probably hanging 150lbs or less and I feel pretty safe working in it.

Hope that helps, but I'm pretty conservative when it comes to safety!!

I use that spray-on rubber stuff to repair my Secret Jardin when it tears. It will last about 2 years or so between applications.

Tape the tent back together from the interior. Spray the exterior lightly. Give it a few hours to dry, then apply a second coat.

The rubber spray smells really bad so do what you can to keep everything ventilated. I have applied it with plants in the grow space and never saw any kind of "off gas" issues but it's better to be safe than risk anything.

I found the spray-on rubber at my local shopping mall in the As Seen on TV store. It's available online if you don't have one of those near by.

Probably all you need is 100% Silicone caulk. I'd get black at Home Depot. In the same area they have all kinds of glues, etc. Careful with the off gassing. Silicone is safe, only giving off small quantities of ammonia and methyl alcohol for 24-48 hrs. Used tons of it in my room, no ill effects. Good luck. -granger

Glues and epoxies set up hard, and can possibly tear, not to mention melt the fabric.

And epoxy works via a catalyst. The chemical reaction creates large sums of heat.

I would just use the high end duct tape (the name says it all).

glad you mentioned the heat from expoxies. i did not think of that. ill probably just duct tape. i might use the as seen on tv stuff to seal a few spots where the seems let light through the stitching.
