I was laying in bed as a yet another helicopter flew overhead when i felt this sensation. It was as if a flashlight beam was passing over me but i could feel (but not see) the beam. I could feel the beam moving like a searchlight.
If so, now what?

as I understand, FLIR is a technology like a camera, it catches information and then interprets it; so it does not "shoot out" like a flashlight shoots out light; it rather receives info and interprets it.

were you asleep when this happened? Ive had similar experiences and after a few episodes, I began looking into it, and found out it was night terrors.. I had experiences where I felt someone or actually seen or heard them, and I was paralyzed where I couldnt awaken. It felt very real the terror was real but I couldnt wake up. Have had other times where I felt a beam come thru the ceiling and actually felt like I was levitating a good 2-3 feet above my bed completely limp, my brain was aware of it, but again I couldnt wake up. Was kinda blissful being suspended in air like that.. Wish I could do that again.
