Hi all, i was wondering how fine do you guys make it before hanging to dry? you just take the fans off? ive always done a wet trim and hang, trying to handle it as least as possible. I been dealing with rain and have caterpillars here and there im just trying to speed up the process. Thanks

Sometimes I leave them out on paper to dry down for a half day but usually my drying process is cut the buds trim close especially removing all large leaves. I hang them upside down in an enclose area like a cardboard box w/ cut-out barn doors on both side to control ventilation/circulation. This till they begin to dry slowly over several days. etc.

Dude trimming wet seriously reduces product quality, The best thing you can do while wet is not touch the buds, don't but them in a bag or sealed container after chop. Just cut and hang, most definitely if it's for personal use. I still don't under stand why personal growers are still wet trimming.

After a 2 week dry and buds have shrunken it makes it much easier to cut the base of the leaf stem and you will have yourself an unmolested product.

Anyone who has never dry trimmed should try it,

I don't have a silk screen to catch kief, every time i work for buddies that do a dry trim i see powder fall every cut i make when manicuring. In my personal opinion i don't see why people do a dry trim instead of making fast work of things. Sorry but i look at it the oposit way im not trying to start anything, but all dry trims after thing are done i see kief just going to wast every time i try and cut a single sugar leaf and there are multiples to cut before finished product

I'm with norcal on this one. i feel like i get a bunch of kief all over myself dry trimming. i also like the ample amount of scissor hash you get from wet trimming haha either way you loose something i just thought it was more when i dry trimmed.also i felt like i got a stuffy nose when i dry trimmed... could have been the ample joints and bongs as well though haha normally i use a vaporizer.

Hmmm I never get trichs falling but I mostly do organic and don't let my buds get drier than a popcorn fart. Having said that, I will do a wet trim vs dry trim comparison with pictures in the next coming weeks.

I agree in part w/ browntrout. Although I eliminate the large leaves (the ones w/ long stems) immediately (chlorophyl) and whatever large areas I can get by holding a neutral axis i.e.
the main stem but let them dry out a bit before a tight trimming. I will sit my buds on news print for a day or two then hang them in a specially design cardboard box w/ vents. The breath & burp well. This process is a couple weeks. Plants & conditions of plants are different but most often this works best for me.
