Need help buying a new extractor - Large Scale Processor

So it looks as if I've outgrown my half pound Tamisium extractors and am on the market for something bigger. From what i can tell on the forums, i want to get a MK3 or newer but i'm still a little lost on exactly what i need(i want to buy a pre assembled unit). Most of the trim we get comes in 1 pound strain specific batches and i can currently get through 5lb-7.5lb of trim (10-15 runs/no recovery) a day with my two tamisiums which is back breaking work. Im looking to increase the amount of trim i can run in a day. I would like to be able to run 1000g of trim when needed but i don't think that would be often because we rarely get 1000g of the same strain so i think i would be using a 1lb column most of the time. We are currently not recovering which really kills me but it is the only way we could possibly do 15+ runs in a day with two tamisiums. Im looking for a versatile extractor that can produce the best possible product, run more than 7.5 lbs in a day(1lb runs) with full recovery. The item does not have to be UL rated but i do need to provide the local fire chief with some type of build schematic for him to OK before i can make a purchase. Would love some input from some large scale processors. Thanks in advance guys!

We can do ten lbs a day per machine easy with a single column mkv but only when running one strain and multiple columns before harvesting the oil....

Even if your running 4"x36" columns it will be a long day....thats 2.5-3lbs per column for me....

But trying to do a single lb a run, recover, harvest, clean, assemble and run again.....your guna need multiple machines......and i don't know of any fire marshal that will just okay a design, considering we are using recovery pumps, storage tanks ect. Not sure where your price point is but....

I'd recommend two Mkiv with multiple 3x24" columns

WolfWurx will likely have some kits on deck soon.....
Terpp is legit too, not sure what kind of "marital" issues they are having right now tho.

Some who will recommend the bhogarts don't understand or appreciate the versatility of the terpenator......IMO

Happy Hunting!!

Keeping up with the demand has been the biggest issue. Plus we suspect a box or two with welded lids grew legs and walked out.

Given the recent drama that has unfolded around here, I've got my suspicions but can't prove anything.

I have got a bunch of lids on order that should help take the pressure off us. However it can't come quick enough.

Please don't hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions.

I put in a call two days ago and left a message with Aubrey, She said you were busy with accountants for a bit but I'm looking forward to your call.

not what i wanted to hear :-( if using multiple machines how many 1lb runs do you think one person can handle in one day (I'm not scared of a hard days work) on runs days I'm typically up at 5am and starting my first run by 7am, i am usually throwing my last run in the vac oven by 3pm that day

I'm not worried about getting the machine passed, his main concern is that we are doing the runs in an approved room with the proper ventilation and electrical. He just requires for us to run any new equipment by him first before we purchase. Recovery pumps are not a problem.

One issue that has been a concern for fire marshals, is whether or not the recovery pump is rated for flammable refrigerants and meets NFPA standards.

Are there any recovery pumps that are properly equipped for what we do? I obviously want to keep the fire marshall happy, but putting out a clean product is our main priority.

Its a nice vacuum pump for evaporating solvents. You are paying extra for the chemical compatibility and you can get a much stronger pump for cheaper if all you want it for is purging.

This is NOT a recovery pump

Apparently the carsaver makes fire marshals happy in CO and WA.....

Theres plenty of information on why not to use the Caresaver........potential contamination of your product with the pump oil is the biggest issue.

The Haskel pneumatic is rated for flammable gases and is a smiley for the fire marshal because it is safe in even NEMA 7 Div I atmospheres, while close loop systems typically operate under Div II conditions, which says that there is normally not a hazard, but can be when shit happens.

Certain CLS makers have been saying that the Caresaver will not leak oil into the butane stream if you use a "separator" although what kind, how it works, and whether it really prevents contamination is all unknown to me.

Can you comment on this "separator"? Have you heard of such a thing, Gray Wolf?
It sounded like hoohaw to me, but I can't find anything about it.

Right now I run my system with a 24"x1-1/2" column for 1 pound runs on my mkIV, I go through about two pounds in three hours, cleaned up and done working. I also can throw on the 4"x36" column for the 3pound runs. Just waiting on my 100# tank. Not sure about ease and time

How in the world do you get a lb in a 24 x 1.5? Has to be a typo. I have a 36 x 1.5 and don't ever get even 200g in there. Are you pulverizing your material and packing with a press? LOL
