Hello guys looking to upgrade from 600 watters to 1k's and wondering which is the best set up and why. I was thinking of running lumatek with hotilux but think I read thats a bad combo due to hortilux bulbs frequency low and lumatek run at high frequency. All confused now lol. Any advice will be appreciated.

Solis Tek Ballast and bulb combo. Get the Matrix 1000. Maybe the splitter too. The HPS bulb is Nice! And they have an MH bulbs in some interesting K spectrums. MBFerts and Costco.com has some sweet deals on bulb and ballast.

If I were going digital, I'd def be interested in the Solis Tek Matrix w/ their 4K MH lamp. The integrated timer & advanced start/test tech are interesting features, for sure. I think their system would work well in climate controlled rooms but would require addl timer(s) in some vent cooling setups.

It's hard to argue against lamps that more closely duplicate natural sunlight than traditional HPS.

Being an old school cheapskate, I'll stick with a mag ballast & plantmax dual arc bulb- great results so far.

Dunno how good they are, but the price is right on these for Amazon Prime customers-

1000bulbs has a nice price on the dual arc lamps.

Lots of different ways of looking at it.
