Botanigard 22wp need mixing rates for root aphid drench.

As the title says, we have root aphids and a bottle of Botanigard 22wp. I need to mix up about 1-2 gallons and the directions are for 100 or more and are pretty unclear in the "root drench" area too. Anybody using it for root drench in small amounts, and how much powder do you use per gallon of water? Thanks Mr. Grimbo

I just found a website that says 1 tbs. per gallon of water. getorganicsupply.com was the site. Thanks for the thread, gonna get some of it myself.

Thanks for the info. I ordered ours on Friday from Amazon, it showed up today. Fifty cents shipping for a total of about 78 dollars. We will let you know how it works, it could take a while though as we can't just start over. All of our mothers are infected and the clones too, we are struggling to save our genetics..

2 Tbl/gal. I've had good luck with this, but it's best to use something like Pyganic drench to knock their numbers back, then hit them with Botanigard. First treatment do a 30 min soak to get the entire medium wet with it, incl the area just under stem. This area is RA Central, and very hard to get wet. After the first treatment, just water to runoff with it every 10 days. Good luck. -granger

I have another related question, and I will note that I am only asking "opinions" hopefully based on personal experience here. Most things we use are more chemical and they all say if you contact skin call poison center. If I do happen to get a couple drops or spray my arm by accident, etc, would you just rinse and wash, or would you call the PCC? I have read a lot of the info but most of it notes it's more related to folks who I assume will have a lot of exposure like folks who work in the industry, etc?..
Thanks, Mr. Grimbo

If you're talking about getting Botanigard on you, I would wash thoroughly with soap, flush with lotsa water followed by 3% peroxide. -granger

That's so uncomfortable for me as the directions say "take cover, and don't touch the stuff" and the next section says you can use it up to day of harvest... I am confused. Anybody?

Mycotrol, the organic version of botanigard says the same thing, I was confused too. I was so paranoid, covered in a tyvek suit and shitty clothes and shoes I never want to wear again, not not mention a mask gloves duct taped to my sleeves. I was hot as fuck didn't make it any easier.

Im sure I was taking it to far but that's what my brain does to me anyway.

IMNSHO, the worst thing is to breathe the dust. Don't do it. Also don't get the dust in your eyes. I don't think getting it on you is that big of a deal, provided you wash it off well, followed by straight 3% peroxide. Mycotrol [liquid] is safer in that regard. Good luck. -granger

Reporting back from the project site says "BoninaGard WP22 at 2tsp per gallon weekly drench has all but eliminated the problem".
Thanks again for all the help

good news about your infestation! I love reading the reports back :)

well if you google beauveria bassiana and nose you will see why :D they will infect your nose and you will get a white fungal growth :) bats got the growth coming out of their noses, I would assume without reading the article that is because plants were sprayed at dusk and they got it in their poor noses. you can get it in your eyes too.

Did you understand what your were doing and what it was? I don't feel that way, but I actually understand things very well...and yes, I am actually quite prone to anxiety reactions but chemistry is something I have a very strong grasp of. Well, and I am an official horticulturalist. It sounds like your confusing the stuff with Acephate or something.

Yes, and verticillium can infect your eyes..some soil mites cause human skin infections...when working the fields, I get bitten by thrips more than mosquito's...it goes on
