Help holy leaves :(

Hey guys

I'm just on my 1st indoor setup and I've came across this problem on just 2 of my 8 plants. This is super lemon haze I'm showing, 3 weeks old from seed. I had very dry RH down to 27% at one point with the heat going up to 35.6c. I have since bought a fan control for it as my 6" extractor is too much, seems to be working on the temp side of things now.
Also a big fault of my own I've just realised about bringing the ph right down to nuteral

Question is....
Is the temps and hi ph at 6.7 before I changed it the problem or is it bloody unwanted pests?
😩😩😩

Thanks for your help my fellow sticky fingered friends.

hello,

I don't think those holes in the leaves are due to RH problems, or pH problems, or even temps... it looks like something physically damaged them; it could be pests for sure.

did you notice how long did it take for those holes to appear? if it was from one day to the next, whatever ate those leaves should be big enough to spot.

imo of course.

good luck and much peace!

No offense. Looks like you left em in the small rockwool too long. Stunted. Leafs didnt form properly and you then transplanted. Speeding up growth. Undeveloped leaf parts stayed undeveloped and the leaf grew to a nice size. Nothing to worry about. Carry on....

Hey guys thanks for a positive reply at last.
I only have this problem on one plant out of 8 and they was not there when i started them in a propagator either. I'll put another pic on as they are 4 weeks old today. The rest of my plants look healthy and happy, if it is pests? What is the best way to find and identify them?

Once again thanks for the advice.

kickback, it may be what sourpuss and xxx have described or it could be bugs, but if it is bugs, you should be able to spot them, look all over the plants, look under the leaves and on top of the soil, try using a magnifying glass or maybe even the zoom of a good camera.

also, if in the next few days you don't see any new damage appear, it probably wasn't bugs and it is because of the other issue, which won't happen again anyway, so all should be good.

peace!

I'm in rockwoll slabs .
I've just spent a good hour looking and nursing them. Couldn't see anything but there is a bit of yellow spots on another. I'm in a tent in a bedroom so if it is bugs I'm only dealing with house bugs and I should be able to sort it without too much hassle?
I'm using one led light and one 600w lumi light. Just to see the difference in veg.
I'm at my wits end trying to think what is causing this. I hate to see the girls in pain 😢

do you notice that the plant with the holes in the leaves has the same discoloration as the discoloration you see in that last pic?

if you did not find any bugs, and you looked really good, they are most likely not there.

so it leaves us with the other option, which is damage as the leaves were opening up due to root restriction or some other environmental factor. it doesn't look like a deficiency and the plants look pretty healthy besides those little spots.

don't over-water and don't over-feed them trying to solve the issue though.

just be patient and observe the rest of the plants in the next few days, if you see it starts happening to other plants, then it is time to look again really well for bugs and also check this thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=231387

but for now, don't jump into conclusions and wait and see if it spreads.

good luck!

peace

Hey thanks for the thread, I'll try my best to be cool and hang on for a few days see if it gets worse.
There is 3 plants like the one in my last pic with the discolour in it.
It does look like a little fucker has been chomping but I'm yet to find anything.

micro deficiencies. possibly ph. ph would have to have been holding steady, this isn't something that just shows up overnight. wait a week see if it progresses. if it's gonna continue you will see it on the..¿Medium leaves? as the leaves get older this issue will show itself where the leaf is unfurling and stretching out. you won't see it on the newest leaves as they come out, it's a thing that's gonna happen later as the leaf gets bigger. if it continues add a touch more whatever you're feeding.

this isn't pests and it's not from the humidity.

doesn't anyone ever read through this thread anymore? it's sticky for a reason. read through the descriptions of what each element does for the plant. you'll find your answer. off the top of my head i would say copper or boron maybe. prolly also phos.

So are you saying it's my feed? My ph has been corrected 7 days ago now, that's why I thought it my have been that also. I'm using a H&G hydro feed. My e.c has never been over 1.2 either.

I've also looked through a lot of threads now trying to identify what's going on. But like I say it's my 1st ever grow. I've bought seeds. 4x Casey jones 4x super lemon haze.
I've kept both strains away from each other also. Would you think it may be a good idea just to flush them through with water at 5.5ph for a week?

I think that's from the hot dry air. How long were they at 36c? What does the new growth look like?

It varied in the 1st week of being in slabs just getting the temps set right and then last of all my ph.
I'm just guna have to hang tight for a week or so and see how they go. Temps n ph is all spot on now so..... I hope all is good from here.
