fulvic/humic acid and silica in RDWC

are there any good products/good reasons to add a fulvic/humic acid product to a recirculating DWC system? i've been going back and forth with an organic grower who insists hydroponics simply can't compare to the nutrition provided by microbial decomposition. the only information i've actually found suggests that soil rich in silica and fulvic/humic acids aids in overall health of plants but obviously aren't 100% necessary for a plant to successfully make it to harvest.

considering the growth rates and yields of hydroponics and apparent plant health, i'm not sure these additives are all that critical to a great harvest but still, if it will improve the plants health and easy to use water soluble products are available, i'm willing to add it to the reservoir.

right now i'm looking at Europonic Silicate and Fulmag. input?

I run BioAg Ful-Power for Fulvic, I use it in my rdwc and also as a foliar spray. The girls love it! I swear by the stuff.

BioAG Ful-power and Silica Blast work for me

thanks for the replies! i'm pretty much sold on adding silica but i'm not convinced the fulvic is really necessary. 10-30ml/gal seems like a lot for an additive but i suppose it's worth a shot.

i use NOVA Bloom in RO at 400-450 ppms for all 'beginning' stages after poppage of the seed. High in humis type of stuff but it is thick as hell. babies and little girls love it... they go onto bloom nutes (Jacks+CalNit @ 600 ppms) a week or 2 b4 they go under the big light, in the tent for a week or 3 of veg before bloom. silica, as I remember from DWC days, raises PH and is gooey. "thick as hell" and "gooey" = clogged whatever..

Bio-Ag is supposed to be the way to go, MB Ferts sells a silica cheap & the recommended ppm rates are pretty low compared to the other silica products out there.
