yup... same for everyone.. lol. u gotta start somewere right? lol.

I did it with brick seed.. a long time ago now.. and ive popped seed from amazing bags of nugs I smoked along the way..

and its more about being able to judge the plant your smoking honestly........

this one seed I planted.. was a bagseed.. and its been around for 6 years now.. and no hermi.. and some of the best.. most crystaliest buds ive seen .

I'd rather have some bagseed go hermi than some (especially fem seed) from a "breeder", some of these guys dont even test if their strains have tendency to herm.

i grow mostly bagseed. it can be a mixed bag, but so can most bought seeds. if the weed you smoked wasn't good, the seeds you planted might not be any better than the weed you smoked.

any plants from seed no matter where you got em you should always test them for tendencies to herm.

if you're growing to sell and you planted a bunch of bagseed and were surprised to get herms, that's an amusing story. lesson learned i hope.

I have had better luck with bagseed then genetics from dutch passion...I don't buy weed except on rare occasions.. and when I find a seed I grow it for the hell of it

do you guys think that the stress of the parent plants can affect the offspring?

say you make OG Kush s1s. if the plant you reverse.. and the plants you pollinate are all under lots of stress.. are the offspring of those plants more likely to be more hermi prone.. then if you were to keep the clones super healthy and kept them healthy the entire way threw seed production?

or does this not play any role?

Bag seed is all I grew for years, before seed banks ,Mexican , Columbian ,Honduran , always had good results , never hermied , always a good ratio of females , it was always stable and each group of seeds grown turned out to be exactly the same ,, this was in the olden days before everything was crossed .

Bag seed was a staple of my guerrilla growing days. But you had to sort through alot of bs to find jewels. Had to do batches of 20-30 plant plots and come back at end of season and pick a winner.there were times that we grew a bunch of crappy mexi lol but for our last few years we used bagseed from cali buds (early90s)and breed our seeds for next years crop each year, we had a piney sativa that was done nov1st in florida. no idea of strains then really, took years to get to that point for us though
