cough (minus the strawberry)

a few years back a dispensary had a strain called simply "Cough" that i've been trying to track down again in any form - clone, seed or flower. definitely a creeper and one of the best anti-anxiety threads i've ever had.

canna central has a little info on it - http://cannacentral.com/strains/cough/

does anyone know anything about this strain? i'd love to find out who the breeder was, if the genetics are out there anywhere, or if it goes by another name?

thanks!

Info from Caramel Cough (Dynasty seeds)

MOM-The cough is a very special clone only cut of an Old NL#5/Haze..
I first received The Cough in the late 90s from a friend who moved to Oregon from Colorado.. At the time I was gifted the cut, I was told it was the original NL#5 clone crossed with a Haze Bros Haze that he had been growing in colorado.. He assured me this strain is NOT the same as the NL#5/Haze that came from Amsterdam... It is named 'The Cough' for a good reason, it Makes you COUGH... She has nice medicinal values, great yields and is Powder Mildew resistant... I've seen her in rooms covered with PM and she never once showed any signs of it..

With her 12+week bloom time, she is an advanced strain to grow which made her close to extinct when everyone went for faster blooming strain as the Kush trend took hold of the scene.... I knew how special she was, and could not bring myself to let her go... Over 13years later I still have the original cough that I was gifted..

Dang, that is awesome. Thanks so much for the info - I did some digging and found Caramel Cough beans at a good price on ******'s shop so I'll probably pick them up! Sure wish I could get my hands on a cut of that original Cough plant, though!

huh no wonder it doesn't come out to CA much. or at all, really. i've been envious of the colorado shop menus for years. i always see DJ Short flowers out there which you can barely find at all out here. If you want to try to choose between 47 different OGs, however, this is your town!

I wish I could find the real one. Shes psychedelic. It's been 6 years and I miss her dearly. Friends claim to have it but I think it is lost as well as some other colorado greats like skunk 6, and the nasty great white shark.

But please someone prove me wrong and hook it up.
The stories in the thread are legit so maybe it's still here.

She is still alive and well in many parts of Colorado. I don't have any direct pics of her right now but I do have some pics of a strain called "sneeze" that was made from the Cough x revered Ghost Og male. Very cough dominate in taste, smell and structure. She is a very unique plant you know she is being smoked by walking into a room. Her taste and smell are unmistakable as well.

I understand this is not the actual "cough" but it is very similar in appearance. Was near identical in taste and smell, but structure is very similar. The real cut is just a bunch of pointy calyxes stacked on top of each other, very high calyx to leaf ratio.

Interesting strain from what i'm hearing. Also a nlxhaze that's not like the one from A-dam and has the qualities of the high ya'll describe, sounds like someone needs to get ahold that and then do some breeding with the Cough. Would like to see some pics if anyone finds any. Take care 1

Its a very nice strain, has been in Colorado since at least the late 90's probably much longer. I knew of her when I first started smoking in 97' a legend in this state I would say. There have been some amazing crosses with her. Some of the best herb I have ever smoked was called jack-off (jack herer x cough) that was a very special cross not sure if she is still around though. I used to get those flowers on the regular but its been years since I have seen her, that cross was like cough on steroids. One thing I have noticed with "cough" crosses, she dominates them you can always taste her. I know a few people and places to track down flowers. I will try and get some pics of the actual "cough" and not a cross up in a couple weeks.

I remember getting cough from a guy I used to follow widespread with, he was from Nederland. Some of the best strains I have smoked came from Colorado...kind of sad that the of craze has made it more difficult to find strains that are not of or of crosses...good luck with your search

Got some cough flowers now will try and get some pics up soon, no pics from a grow cycle either but she's an absolute gem and the most psychedelic high i've had ,old school haze......that sneeze looks dank^
