On the light situation... What do you guys think of those floro fixtures with 8 bulbs. Supposed to be 400w equivalent in lumens, but not power usage. I run a 400w in veg and I was looking to lower my bill next summer.

Lights depend on the bulb... you're best off with T5HO over just T5 or T8... and they dont work in every fixture.... only T5HO fixtures (higher voltage ballast)

EDIT: before you ask smokey, the ballast for fluorescents looks like this and is contained inside the light fixtures housing
