Cloning is one of the most over complicated methodologies on this forum.

Used domes, rockwool and rooting hormones for years.

Pitched the domes and rockwool, stupid expenses that are not needed.

I clone the biggest cuts now in straight pH down water in a mason jar. Sounds jank , and low budget, but it is more successful than using all that fancy shit. Yes, stagnant water that is disturbed once a day to stir up some dissolved oxygen.

Not only do the plants stay upright w/out a dome, they never have problems.

Once roots nodules are establishing, a light nute mix is put in the jar w/ them. After roots of 1 to 3 inches, they are placed in the growing medium. If enough roots are established, no dome is needed in the entire cloning process to transplant.

Near 100% success and the haters can hate.

:tiphat:have to agree with that, I had a lot of wilt one summer and old timer told me about putting cuts in dark o/night=worked no losses in 3 years, yep most is pure bullshit.

Ya meds we got opposite styles but both successful. ...... small cut dont make it here at all... im bout to use those plugs rapid rooters this time. 2Trays rr n 2 trays rw... ive always had better luck with rw but got a case of the rrs sittin... i should have hella extra cuts so i can play....
To the op... another great cloning tip that is more then helpful. ... take hella extra cuts try n root everything... i try to take double what im planning.... u can pick the best ones n rock... or if sumthin happens n u loose some theres plenty more....

For sure I like to take double, was reading medman takes 4 times lol. Rw works great I stopped using them cause I don't like the insulation feeling, and getting itchy from them. But the rr's are great, I been digging root riots, real uniform in holding moisture but not too much.

Hell its janky, why didn't u say so before. :dance013:

Really pick a way op, as long as u pay attention and keep temps and humidity in check u can dial in cloning a lot of ways. Watch heat mats getting to hot and also creating 100% humidity in domes as well. Either thing will wilt them.

Put a moisture level meter in your dome keep the moisture around 70%. Give them also root stimulator till you start the blooming period.
