Thanks mate. :)

she´ll be yeilding nicely soon as i get temps under control. she has 2liter soil now. maybe go with 4liter when she stops stretching.

First, i have small small growbox 90x90x90cm.

Mmm, I hope your new veg/flower box is bigger than that, especially in height, because in your other box you can't grow plants any bigger than say 30 cm and then they get too close to the light.

550 Watt is an awfull lot for that space and even 400w is.
Just the 150W is probably ideal for veg (or the 250w for flowering), also spectrumwise.
It will eliminate most or all of your heat problem.

The best way to prevent nutriënt problems imo is to use much bigger containers. The bigger the better. Just keep bending the plants like crazy -or whatever technique you prefer- and force them down. Not with chicken wire though, because that will damage and choke the plant, but with a growthnet or smt. Looking at your Malawi it seems too late for all that now.

If I were you I would put her back in veg and take some cuttings. They grow less vigorous, finish faster and will all have the same nutriënt requirements. The UVB will also help to keep them a little shorter in size this round.

Good luck.

PAW if I had your plant I would take it out of the pot, put the root ball and soil it in a hessian sack, and lay the plant on its side. The branches would start their stretch from floor level and it would work as if scrogged. The sack would contain the roots and soil well and breath, be easy to water. Then your 900mm high would be more workable.
Just a suggestion.

HI thanks for your reply Bubbleblower. in new veg box i have 150w cmh and in older flower box i have 250w hps. flower box is now for veggin 8plants but i will turn it 12/12 in a week or so. and then i will put malawi there. dont wanna use too big container,to preven it grow too much. i have cutting but i thought they didnt start to root. thats iam now flowering the mothermalawi. of course they rooted but it toke longer than i expected. it could be that i flower an another malawi in my veg box.

Thanks mate. i have thought that also but havent done it yet. first i will see how i can manage this.

and the other news. veg box is now 10cm/4" higher. i hope that will help with temps. i need to make flower box more air tight so i can get better suction to veg box. both boxes uses the same ufo.

i still have one option. to make an intercooler for veg box. sounds cool, what you think ;)

Does anyone have succestion which is better after plants flower cycle is fuckd 1) continue as before 2) leave plants in dark for day or two?

I did the first one but is there any difference. does 2 just stress plants more or balance hormone activity to flowering. long light induce veg cycle.

Hi punk, sorry for the timer issues

I think it's best to turn off the light for 24 hours and then your normal 12hr, the chemical that makes the plants stay in flower builds up in the dark you need to let they build up. I've had lights stuck on for 36 or 48 hours constant light, turned them off for 18-24 hours then back to 12/12 never had a hermie after.

Good luck

gave some nutes. chicken manure+guano+palm tree ash.

npk 9-18-35. lets see what happens. she started to look bit shitty. got pretty dry with timer broken down plus undernute.

Need to get somesort of heater to small box. night temps are getting too low. 14c. ive been thinking 60w ceramic reptilian heater.

small note to my self. dont take too much plants ,you dont have energy to focus everyones needs.

i have some satori and sadhu from mandala seeds in bigger box.

Malawi is bit better now, starts to push flowers.. gave 0.4ec nutes. lots of fan leaves died with heat but its getting better, looks quite bald though.. i think i will go with same npk this whole grow. 9-18-35

cutting is rooted! wuhuu!!

Hi PunkAssWeed,

Sorry, I'm a bit lost about your grow. Are you flowering the reveged plant in the same pot or are you taking clones from her and flower them later ? I think the second idea is better in such small space.

It's ok to use strong lights in a small space, but make sure the room has good ventilation, good intraction/extraction and that the lamp is not very close to the tops of the plants.

To give 24 hours of continous darkness to a plant is usually not a good idea, it produces clorosis although the plant can recover very fast after a few days receiving light again, but honestly it's a big stress.

I'm glad you have had success revegging your favourite malawi plant, but please think of the reasons that made your previous harvest not so healthy: use high quality soil, ph between 6.5-6.8 in soil, be careful using such strong chemical fertilizers (i would recommend to use softer organic fertilizers with malawi), control the environment (temp and ventilation in your setup), etc ....

Hi Dubi

currently iam flowering reveged malawi but i have 2 cuttings rooted and flowerin also. she is now at 7 week in flower.

I might have some accidental pollination.not sure yet. haven found any balls on malawi but malawi has much brown pistils. i had some problems with my timer. could plant get brown pistil from severe under nute? i have other plant in flower box and i have had problems to concentrate to every plants needs so malawi was undernuted for a while.

hopefully its not pollination but i will see in week or two. if its, dont know should i keep her flowering or trash bin.

This is how my clones end up.not really good. they stopped growing after repotting to soil with 4g/liter guano.that was too much. i dont know how long they flowered but 14-16weeks. they got some accidental pollen and have some unripe seed
. not sure where the pollen came from. hermie or other project of my. I thing i reveg them again.depends how much my current grow needs room.

thanks everyone for following and giving good advices.
