Great looking plants Prop! she is a hungry girl. My GG girls are doing the same thing. They need to be fed full strength and they'll keep askin for more. Kinda like my cat. Feed her a full dish and she wants more right after. I got her those Fancy Feast appetizers and she loves em.
Ive been giving my plants appetizers of Cal-Mag+ between feedings. Hoping to boost her nutrient uptake capabilities.
She is a greedy pig, but will reward you plentifly if she gets what shes askin for.

From this pic you can sorta see how light green the leaves are.

That's why I quit dating big girls... they eat to much. 2 tons is not fun for your wallet ;)

What do cannabis plants and ladies have in common?... they both end up in the sack.

WOW! congrats Deezy!!:respect:
Ur racking them up! nice work!!!!

I was out the other night with my wife, and we ran into a old friend of hers.
This friend is not a pot smoker and doesnt have much experience with the smell, and certainly doesnt have the fancy vocabulary that we use. (ie. chemmy, kushy, etc)

(My wife and I had smoked a joint o glue on the way, and she also had a small glass jar with about 1 gram of glue in her purse)
As soon as my wife and her friend saw each other and hugged, the friend says; "Holy shit you smell like roadkill"..
(my wife doesnt skip a beat and says, "Awww, thank you!" lol)

keep In mind, this was in the middle of a super packed, smokey ass bar.

I agree that gg4 isnt the most dead skunky strain..
Up close the buds smell more sourish to me.. then when i break it up that strong coffee funk comes out.. and when im about 10 feet away, thats when it smells the most skunky to me.
also, and after a room or car is smoked in, the glue leaves a skunk funk behind.
IMHO of coarse.

pap that's fine, Some smell things different like the soap thing lol.. 1st time anyone has mentioned skunk with gg#4. I'm going from what others and I smell. She has alwys been a sour chem chocolate for me.

Most of the plants I have grow have light colored leaves, this is normal. you do not want to get them dark this strain doesn't do that normally. This is typically the color I get

Ok. I feel better now. I usually have very dark leaves like the indoor GG4 I brought out.
Couldnt hardly get them to start to fade. The full season outdoors will fade out nice at the end of the year, thats for sure.

im not bashing the plant just thought something was wrong. but apparently the stardawgs just stinkier. but heard the glue wins in most other departments besides yield.

gg#4 is not a skunky plant in anyway.. GG$4 hits all the marks better than most. The smell is strong, the strongest no, Very potent the strongest there is no, Flavor is sublime best there is no, Super big yielder, the best pretty close lol, Bag appeal fantastic the best no, easy to grow easier then most yes... So ea one by its self not a big deal combine them all you got a strain that's hard to beat.

So we got

Great aroma
Great flavor
Big Yields
easy to grow
potent
looks great
everyone buys it 1st !!!!

I haven't had a plant with all of the good traits in a long time....Sure I have strains that Smell better, look great but lack in other areas. None hit all the marks. That's what we look for not just 1 but all of the traits we like.

That's a compelling argument.

pap that's fine, Some smell things different like the soap thing lol..

I totally agree with that

And again, im not saying i would call the glue a skunk plant..
I certainly have grown/smoked strains that have more of that "dead-skunk-on-the-road" smell.

I think we can both agree though, that the glue is a very complex and dank smell.:smoke:

cheers:tiphat:

Last week I had to get some A.C work done by someone I didn't know, so twelve gg4's had to be relocated outside. They were only eighteen inches tall and about two weeks into flower so they were put in cardboard boxes outside on the porch closed up. There was a crawl space that had to be accessed by the boxes, and the guy said he smelled a skunky smell in that area. should have put the boxes elsewhere, but to me they smelled very little, until you opened the box, then it did smell a bit skunky. I don't get that from the finished flowers though, at all.

Personally...how Pappy just described it is almost EXACTLY how I described her in the first thread. I never got chocolate out of the glue - but it was always down at 9wks - so that could be why.

From a distance - that's all I could smell - very skunky. Up close - creamy chem - when broken up - more sour notes. When smoked - skunky sour.

But again - different noses - and, again, I always had her down at 9wk. If it isn't getting any fatter and the trichs are anywhere between 5-10% amber - it's coming down.

Same smells here. My truck smelt like a skunk other night. Had the glues with me. From a distance it puts that out a bit. Tastes more sour. Slight skunk/chem hit on the inhale sour exhale for me.

Haha talking about trucks reminded me of one time I put some smoke in the glove box of a friends truck.. All day he plowed and yelled at his dog in the truck for peeing on the floor.

Gotta give credit where it is due. Our trial plant is growing fast, smelling nice and looking like it is going to yield...as advertised so far.
