I like your system so far. Nice to see the tlo perspective. The naturalism of it has a real appeal to me. How long have you been growing?

Thanks bro, believe it or not an internet search gone wrong first introduced me to tlo gardening. I gave it a shot and havent looked back since. I pretty much gave away all my chem nutes.
Been growing for 5 yrs total off and on. Still pretty new to organics tho, maybe a yr. I try to keep it as natural as possible always. Exp. For coir, I pick and shred coconuts my self. Becareful this style of growing is addictive and fulfilling~Dank

I can't wait to see the final product. All that effort(shredding coco yourself) is gonna show some results. Wishin coconuts grew in michigan lol

Yeah, I cant wait to see here done too. I do put a lot into every grow, we all do, so when things go wrong i take it Personal sometimes. But you live and you learn. As far as the coconut thing, im sure its away you can be " super natural" what I call it, in Michigan sourcing local natural beneficials. Exp. Florida has an invasion of yellow banded millipedes. They are all over the place including my compost. I noticed one pooing a little pellet and then all the pellets in my compost. Did research on them and found out not only are they very beneficial, there dropings are said to be better then earth worm castings. So I set a little container and am currently trying to farm them. You can bring nature into your grow too, even in that ice box. Lol:dance:

Update l: 6 weeks Flower

Update l: 6 weeks Flower

Hey everyone at the mag, thanks for stopping by I appreciate your viewing and commenting. Now to Miami bagseed, shes doing great, we beat that nitrogen deff
and she's filling in and out now. Trichromes are coming in nicely to, although i wish there were more. She's standing at 25" and still smells of tropical fruit Smoothie. But only when disturbed, I never get really loud strains, shes a breeze to grow. Took a clone that's now rooted, if shes good well give her another run.

Fungus tea anyone?

Fungus tea anyone?

Fungus tea I made miami bagseed a few days ago. She loved it. I was missing a ingredient so I just left it out, which is ok. You basically just growing fungus. Here the ingredients

1 tablespoon Powered rolled oats (grind rolled oats till powder in blender)
1 tablespoon soft rock phosphate
1/2 cup fresh compost or ewc
1/3 cup mushroom compost

Mix all ingredients up and wet until almost soggy. Put in cool dry place and make sure it stays moist. Should be ready in 3-7 days.

I mix this in 1 gallon water and bubble with teaspoon blackstrap molasses, and teaspoon liquid kelp. Bubble 24hrs .ready, wonderful at all times in plants life. Especially flowering.

hicksticky

Still at large...
Looking great Dank,
Been a min. since I stop in, man I wish there were such thing as smell-a-vision, how do you plan to keep her? did you clone?

And big ups on the fungus tea I think I will try it out.

Update : miami bagseed wk 7 & early wk 8

Update : miami bagseed wk 7 & early wk 8

Update: wk. 7 threw early wk 8.

Just fed mbs her last nutrient tea about 3 days ago. From here on out ewc tea and pure water. She bulked up a notieable bit between wk 6 and her smell increased also.
Every grow has good and bad here's hers. The added nitro in mid flower really screwed up tric prodution. It also made her produce more leaf in her buds. Oh well you live and you learn.:comfort:. More slow release nitro in soil mix next time.
Now, the good. She is a breeze to grow,I cleaned the little satelite buds up ( hung hung dry 3 days) and sampled. Smell ground up dank. Taste non, potency pretty good. Out smoked some jack I picked up. Pop corn buds!
I took a clone and will run her again with improvements. I believe she has a lot more in her. As for harvest, I'm. Taking down 1/2 plant at 10wks. Dry and jar, cure at least 10 days then smoke report. The other 1/2 of mbs I want to take another 7-10 days. ~D.Assassin

Update:

Update:

Whats up to everybody at the mag, quick update. Well from the beginning of this thing, I said loose win or draw we would get it done and we have. Miami bagseed has been harvested. I changed harvesting time up a little bit in order to keep in line with the contest. I wanted at least a two week cure before smoke report, to have a more accurate smoke report.
I cut 1/2 of miami bagseed down on 9/10. She was hung dry for 5 days with all leaves on ( I prefer to dry trim) . Temp was 75f to 77f and humidity was between 55 and 60%. She was put into paper bag for 24hrs when her stem bent and almost snaped. She was then jared and burpbed twice a day since up until till today. Now shes curing.
I cut the other 1/2 of miami bagseed on 9/17. She could have gone another wk, but needed the room in the tent. She was hung dry with all her leaves on as well. Her drying temps and humidity was the same as above. She is now in paper bag for a day or two, then to the jar she goes.
Also when you crack the jar for miami bagseed you can smell dank smell coming back now, still very light smell at this point tho.

Congrats man. I also did a dry trim this time. It is the way to go for me from now on. IMO it tasted good before any cure at all, and amazing after some curing. I enjoyed watching your grow. Enjoy your bud bro!!!

Sorry, about the late smoke report guys. But better late then never. So lets dive in.
This smoke report is the conclusion of myself and ms.dank assassin.

Smell When opening Jar: slight sour smell 6 Out of 10
Bag appeal: Not to good looking, 5 out of 10
Crumbled smell: Now she starts to shine 8.3 Out of 10
Potency: solid 7.8 out of 10 at this point. With another 2 wks in jar no doubt 8
Taste: On inhale is slightly sour and on exhale is grapefruit 7.5 out of 10
High or stoned: Head high with body. My guess 70/30 sativa to Indica 8 out 10
Bud density density: 7 Out of 10
Over all: a solid 7.8 at this point in a few wks in jar my guess solid 8

When dealing with Miami bagseed first observation is she dosent look like much. Her initial smell hits you as sour. Breaking up she to starts shine. Wow she will definitly light up a room, with a sour, musky and grapefruit smell very loud in that order. Very easy to grind and roll into a joint. Great moisture level not to dry or moist still sticky. Being grown organically the Smoke of Miami bagseed is very smooth. She tastes Slightly sour on the inhale and like grapefruit on exhale The high starts to set in Within 4 pulls for me and 2 for Ms. D. Assassin. You barely notice your Concious changing then you feel a pulse in your temples. Shes a thinking strain. You become More focused on and task and detailed oriented. Great for planning things and doing activities. Zero paranoia, very social high. Also No red eyes. In Conclusion, lets be honest She dosent look like much but this is good weed a solid 7.8 overall with potential. This is go anywhere and do anything, and be better focused and alert and better at enjoy it. Makes me anxious to see how She turns out on the next run. Miami bagseed pt.2 anyone??
