Yes Sir i did wash the hydroton before i used it. I did not soak it in ph water overnight. I was thinking my plants are chocking and i need to vent air outside and bring fresh air in.

all depends on your room size and what light you running ? i have 600watts and i am running 6ins iso max fan..in a 120cms x 120cms x 200cms

We have 2 T5 H/O fluorescent 4 foot long fixtures. Bulbs are Agromax Grow Spectrum.
The room is 5 foot wide x 4.5 foot deep x 7 foot high. We also have 1 oscillating fan running at the moment. We have a High velocity 4 inch inline fan and a 4 inch duct fan that we can use for ventilation as well.

ok. i only have limited experience in hydro so i can't answer all your questions but.

you don't really need to stick the ph to a certain number. just keep it in a range. actually works better if you let it gradually rise/drop then change/ top up/ whatever once it gets too far out of range. 6.0-6.8/7.0 is a fine range and allows all nutrients to get absorbed.

seems like what happened here is your pH dropped too fast and you got some burn. but you should be alright if the ph isn't flying all over the place. make sure it stays above 5.5 and below 7.5. what is the ph of your water? are you using tap or RO? you prolly already said.

my pH in the city...practically any city i've lived in has always been close to right around 7. even when it was as high as right around 8. when i add the GH nutes it always comes to 6.5. which is why i'm puzzled that your water after nutes is barely 5. just how much food are you using per gallon? are you measuring it right?

1 teaspoon = 5ml.
