HIGH People :D

I have been made aware of an up an coming "Medical marijuana/Cannabis march for the sick and dying" on September 14th 2014 that will be happening around Australia(see poster below for all details)

Make yourself available...show Australia that it is long overdue for a change concerning our much needed Medical Cannabis laws (non laws at the moment!!).

There are Facebook pages for each of the cities where the march will be held and a poster to download and to be spread far and wide.HH. =]-~

Hey KITCHA and BOOM ...glad to see a couple of you guys interested...wheres the rest? :dunno:

...But yes...hopefully the word gets around and we get some extra ppl there...

i even doubt it will make a huge difference...BUT...i personally hope it helps to raise awareness and gets the ppl that are uneducated about Medical Cannabis somewhat educated

....at last count around 65% (going on what many polls says) of Australia believe that there should be new laws made for cannabis for the ppl that need it.HH. =]-~

Yes I hear you brother, the funny thing about Australia and Cannabis is that though nearly everyone wants a change or would like it to be decriminalized or be made as a Medical Option, the draconian laws and the harsh penalties have most of these people worried about being busted or targeted by the police if they stand up and make their voice heard out loud. Or it's the typical Aussie attitude of can't be arsed doing anything about it. :dunno:
That's just my opinion though and I could be seriously bloody wrong with my head up my arse :chin:
I will be there at the Adelaide march because even though I could benefit from Medical Marijuana with my chronic back pain which has afflicted my life for the past 15yrs, there are people out there in much worse off situations than mine and they could really benefit from the relief that MM could bring to their lives, Cancer patients, people with Multiple Sclerosis, people in wheelchairs and the list goes on an on.
Plus the amount of wrong information that has been shoved down peoples throats since the 1950s and on by the people in charge of this country, is just criminal to say the least, as we both know brother there is mounting evidence being conducted in medical an scientific labs that MM is not the bad drug it's been made out to be but it is an actual god given gift that has been shown to have positive effects on people with/in pain, people with cancer have been able to get rid of the cancer using hash oil or able to eat and have a semi normal life whilst receiving cancer treatment, people with MS can lead almost normal lives or not be as affected by the MS with MM availability, again the list is long and varied with the positive effects that people can achieve if Medical Marijuana is available to them to help treat their conditions.
Like you say even if we can get the info out there to all the people that have believed the bullshit info and give them the real facts, the real truth with actual evidence about MM then that would be a positive step forward for all of us and this country in general.
I'll be there brother, I hope to see you there with a lot of other people who want to see a change happen :gday: I'm sick and tired of living in the dark ages and having dickheads like Abbott and any of the other politicians tell me how bad Medical Marijuana is and how there is no benefit from using it to treat a medical condition. :gday:

Hi guys I haven't been active on these forums in a long while, but I will try to from now on, and seeing this notice is very encouraging. It's really great to hear about these events; I will be attending the Melbourne one for sure. I don't smoke weed anymore (I don't want to buy street weed and I currently can't grow my own), but I feel very strongly about the stigma associated with Medical Cannabis. I've found it's very difficult to rationally debate staunch opponents on the subject, who blanket all attempts in their own ignorance of the facts of the matter. But progress is sometimes a slow process, and progress is definitely being made. I will do my best to spread the word, and continue to support all the efforts being made to change this serious human rights issue.

Hey ppl! the message below was just posted on the Adelaide site...so take note if you happen to miss it(don't know if this is happening in other city's ???)

"Adelaide event will not be marching, As some people can't walk that distance. So please everyone meet at Parliament House Step's.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day."

BOOM..nope you don't "I could be seriously bloody wrong with my head up my arse"..pretty much spot on man!

nowhere man- nice one!!

wally wombat- good to hear!!

also....dont know if ppl are aware????....but there is a petition to be signed....so get onto it!

NSW GOV (not aware of all the facts ...so excuse me if i get it a little wrong) should have a vote in the coming weeks for medical cannabis(failed last time) so lets hope all goes well....will still be a long way off to be perfect which ever way it goes...from what it looks like we/ppl will either still have to buy it on the street ....or...someone will become our dealer gov/a company....hopefully one day medical cannabis in Australia can be modeled on a "already working "model being used in the States(USA) at some point...

https://www.change.org/petitions/ji...s-for-people-with-terminal-cancer-like-my-son

and they are also trying to raise fund for news paper ads etc...so even a small $5 donation helps...very heart warming to see they have nearly reached their target(raised around $20k within the first couple of days :D )

I'll be heading in for the Sydney march.
I hope there wont be to many police check points entering and exiting the city. They are becoming a pain in the arse.

Hi guys, great to see so much support flowing in - and it seems that the pressing issues are gaining some traction.

http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/...ctorian-labor-plans-legalise-medical-cannabis

Labor says its plan to legalise medicinal marijuana in Victoria has received widespread support.

Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews says his social media pages have been inundated by those who agree with the proposal to allow access to the drug for those with terminal or life-threatening conditions.

"It's just been overwhelming the amount of Facebook posts, the amount of tweets, emails, phone calls, text messages from people right across the community in clear support of legalising medical cannabis," he told reporters on Monday.

Mr Andrews said on Sunday if Labor won the November 29 election, he would ask the Law Reform Commission to look into how medicinal marijuana could be legalised, and flagged that legislation could be passed by the end of 2015.

However, Health Minister David Davis says any drug used therapeutically must go through the proper trials.

"If it goes through the proper steps and the proper hoops and is found to be of a reliable quality and predictable outcome that will assist people and the risks are minimised, well that is the proper process," he told Fairfax Radio.

Mr Davis would not be drawn on whether he had a philosophical objection to cannabis use in medical circumstances.

"If the proper processes are followed, then drugs can come forward for use in Australia," he said.

Mr Davis said the national Therapeutic Goods Administration had a key role in ensuring only safe drugs were licensed.

"What we don't want is products that are not safe and not been tested, and where the quality arrangements are not known," he said.

YES MUM....

they are treating us like little kids....obviously trying to look sympathetic just to win votes and the end result will probably be them pushing already made pharmaceutical cannabis products that are mostly ineffective...thus putting more money in their pockets

The Australian public has shown support for Medical Cannabis legalization...and this without the question of how it is supplied...unconditional support!...yet the Government come along and put their spin on it..

it shouldn't be in their hands on how we use this drug...that should be in the hands of doctors/GP's

look at what is happening in Colorado...it works...people are getting the relief they need from their ailments....no one is dying!

These politicians need to be told that what they are suggesting just doesn't cut it...we are humans just the same as the humans in the LEGAL USA states and deserve to be treated as such!....everyone bombard them with emails/letters and tweets etc and let them know they need to step up!!! .HH. =]-~

Howdy all. Been absent from class.lol. are these marches in capital city or in towns as well ?

looks to be just in major city's...and on a sunday(sept 14th)

type in "Medical marijuana march for the sick and dying" into Facebook and it should show up and fuddle around and find your states page(there are pages for each state)

Hey...have people seen some of the news reports/news paper articles(can be found on line)....a shit load is happening...many pollies are behind the move(even just for blatant vote gathering)...the move as of now doesn't seem to be heading in the direction as we want it...but its gaining momentum and direction!!!!

and on other news...the ACT government has asked the mullaway man to help them with Cannabis oil's...

all looking hopeful compared to not at all since last year :D .HH. =]-~
