i stopped buying Diamond Nectar and now use Fulmag and i love it. i've provided a brief write up on both products. while the actaul ingredients may vary a bit, the 2 products are very very similar and are designed to do the same thing. flame me if you want but these is my reasons for not buying Diamond Nectar anymore.

Diamond Nectar is an exclusive Humic Acid extract from a combination of unique Leonardite sources providing the highest availability and diversity of these bioactive pant compounds. The General Hydroponics research team has assayed over 300 different Leonardite sources around the world to create a proprietary, pH balanced, fulvic acid with maximum agronomic benefits.
in other words Diamond Nectar is Fulvic acid

Seedlings and Cutting Applications:
use 10-50 ml of Diamond Nectar per liter of water or diluted nutrient solution (1-6 fl. oz. per gal.).

Hydroponics:
use 10-100ml of Diamond Nectar per liter of water/nutrient mix (1-12 fl.oz. per gal.). Replace with each nutrient change.

Soil Application:
use 50-100 ml of diamond Nectar per liter of water/fertilizer mix with ever fertilizer application (6-12 fl.oz. per gal).

Foliar Spray Application:
use 100ml of Diamond Nectar per liter (12 fl.oz. per gal.). Spray both sides of foliage until wet every 7-14 days. For best results combine with soluble nutrients.
here's the suggested price.
- 1 qt. $14.98 -32oz in a quart
- 1 gal. $39.98 -128oz
- 2.5 gal. $79.98 -320oz
- 6 gal. $159.98 -786oz
as you can see most would need to purchase between 2.5 gal - 6 gal of diamond nectar per cycle.

Fulmag

Fulmag contains the most concentrated Fulvic Acid available on the market today, 10 times the concentration of similar products. Fulmag enhances cell permeability, increasing the cation exchange capacity for a more rapid entry of minerals into the plant cells, resulting in increased uptake of plant nutrients and improved plant quality and yields. It's just like G.H.'s Diamond Nectar only much more concentrated and less expensive. Because of its low pH, high concentration and low cost, many use it in place of pH down (it's almost impossible to overdose)! It is also an excellent stress reliever. highly recommend using it if you are going to be using Monster Bloom, KaBloom, or similar products.

Rate: 1/2-1 teaspoons per gallon. Can be used in conjunction with any nutrient or enhancer.

suggested price
pint - $8.95
quart - $12.95
gallon - $34.95
2.5 gal - $64.95

using Fulmag instead of diamond nectar saved me alot of money, and alot of thinking(no more indepth calculating on how much to use.)
the money saved is 2 part, i save a shitload buy not buying so much Diamond Nectar but i also do not have to buy any PH down. as stated above Fulmag is excelent PH down. the explosive growth that was seen using bloom enhancers is even more explosive when i switched to Fulmag.

here's A recipe for success on a 8 week flowering stain.
1 tsp flora nova bloom per gal
1/2-1 tsp Fulmag per gal
2ml of Dark Energy per gal
1tsp nitrozime per gal
(2nd half of bloom switch from Dark Energy to Monster Bloom @ 1tsp per 5 gal)

Ok. I'm down with the economics but what size garden are you talking about when you said...."as you can see most would need to purchase between 2.5 gal - 6 gal of diamond nectar per cycle."? And if you are talking about a complete grow/flower cycle the garden must be huge to need 2 - 6 Gallons of Diamond Nectar. Fulmag looks to be similar and definitely more affordable. GH tends to charge for their name as well as their product.

3'x2'x5' area... when it's used as a foliar feed(190ml per gal) or when it's used at the max dose GH recommend for hydro(100ml per gal)is when it starts to add up and gets really costly.

100ml for 1 liter of water thats 20teaspoons per liter! that alone tells you the stuff is rediculously watered down.
so up to 20 tsp per liter. 1 gallon = 3.78 liters lets say you use it at 100ml per liter. 100X3.78= 378ml or 75 teaspons per gallon!!! are they fucking insane? lets break it down somemore. 75 tsp = 25tbls which = 12.5oz per gallon of water. my rez is 12 gallons so that 155 oz of diamond nectar in a 12 gallon rez. 1 gallon is 128 oz and cost 39.95, the rez get changed completely once a week., so we're talking about as much as 1 gal of DH per week(if used as directed) even if you use it at 50ml per liter you will still use way too much of this shit. i NEVER used as much as they stated but i used between 3-5 tsp per gal. i was very happy with the results BUT i'm even happier now! for me it was a win-win. got rid of 2 products(ph down and diamond nectar) and just use one(Fulmag).

the one thing i forgot to mention was if you read the GH feeding chart they don't even use it at the dosage they have on their web site except when foliar feeding(they say to use 190ml per gal)

as long as i'm doing the math properly(i'm really stoned) you can see why i said average person would need alot and the grow area doesn't have to be to large for the costs to add up.

Fulmag RULES!!!!!

What are you talking about??? My Diamond Nectar bottle says

Hydroponics:
Use 1-2 ml of Diamond Nectar per liter of water/nutrient mix (1-2 fl oz per gallon.)

Hey Oldsog...how's it going? I used to use Diamond Nectar when running hydro as that's how someone set me up but over time realized it's pretty watered down stuff. I don't even think they make a claim for fulvic acid on the label anymore. I switched to Roots Organics Ancient Amber right at the end before going to soil but for sure will check out your recommendation if needing some fulvic again.

Oh no! You let the Fulmag cat outta the bag! Close this thread immediately we can't have everyone knowing about the best source for Fulvic ever!

Haha no seriously, oldsog is right this stuff is cheaper and your local shop is guaranteed to have it. I was buying diamond nectar until I saw this plain looking bottle and asked what it was.

Good thread.

Thank you for confirming my existing theory. Thanks also for the tip on the ph down!

I know some use Diamond Nectar as a down but I found it to be pretty weak for that purpose and considering the cost I'd rather just use regular down.

Ditto. I didn't notice it lowering my pH by itself. With a bunch of other stuff it went down however.

They changed that with the updated feeding charts actually. :) I have the new chart in front of me.
