when they raised prices here in cali folks adjusted their driving habits...so less gas was bought and they want the dollars so up goes the prices so they can make $$$$...nevermind the taxes and environmental crap....next year gas is gonna skyrocket in price ...beware......I get between 28 and 32 mpg in my downgraded ride...that 250$ computer chip and the mods I made were well worth it.....yeehaw.....used to also have a local ride that was 3 cylinder convertible..the old lady got it now ....bitch

I drive a Buick, 3.8 litre V6, nice big 4 door that gets me 25-27mpg on the full tank fill up, that's my blended city/hwy mileage; when I'm out on the interstate I get 30-32mpg.

All of my cars get 15 mpg..

All of my cars get 15 mpg..

Chevy Tahoe 4X4 15 around town, 17.75 highway

Porsche Carrera 15 mpg Premium Gas

Jeep Wrangler X 4X4 15 mpg

Wife's car Chrysler 300 about 20-23 overall

Gas prices really don't effect me and I think they are pretty fair.

But then gas was $0.25 a gallon when I got my first car :tiphat:

I don't know who is familiar with this website, but it is pretty damn handy in these days of high gas prices. Here it is for my neck of the woods, I think all you have to do is punch in your zip code to get results for your neck. Or, just google "cheap gas," thats how I found this site.

I didn't know the trend about prices going up before a weekend. It makes total sense though. Neil's LincVolt is an awesome vehicle, but I believe it's an electric car, not a diesel that burns used cooking oil.

"His car, which he calls a bioelectric vehicle, runs on electricity for the first 35 or so miles, and then cellulosic ethanol provided by Poet LLC, one of the nation's largest ethanol companies, kicks in to power it the rest of the way."

I stand corrected. Bio-electric.

I also stand corrected.

I didn't know it shifted to bio, or at least I forgot. If you go to Neil's web page he has a short movie he made about a trip he took, the only thing I'm remembering about the movie now is that he drove past an ugly oil producing area, may have been tar sands oil.
