Here are a few pix from a Tutankhamon plant, grown from feminised seed. First off, a normal branch with regularly sized calyxes.

Next up, a different branch with much larger calyxes. These calyxes appear to have trichmes covering them. Plant is starting week 4/10.

Is this an anomaly, or the start of a hermie?

It is neither an anomally, nor the begining of a hermie. It is showing preflowers that confirm it is female.. When you say week 4/10, are you sugesting it is 4 weeks in to a 10 week cycle? It is does not look 4 weeks into flowering, or 6 weeks from finishing, but then we cant actually see the tops.
