Were these already in the rapid rooters when you bought them, or do you believe they were already in your environment?

If you use compost in your soil, you may have baby red wiggler worms.

I use homemade compost and found many tiny white worms in my pots of soil.
I didn't relate them as worms until they started turning red.
They are 1/2 in long, so may be worms.

Not sure how they got into your RR's though.

strange, they do look like a stage in the life of gnat larva except for they are not half an inch. are you seeing them in your soil or coco? do you think they came with the rapid rooters?

are you sure they are 1/2 in? did you measure them? That looks just like fungus gnat larve..... you got any more pictures? Is the plants showing any ill signs? Anything on your leaves? try using mosquito dunk in 1 gallon of water next time you water see if it kills it. if it does it's most likely fungus gnat larvae.
