sulphur burners and carpet/clothes/drapes

hi, i bought one but wife thinks it will stick to the carpets drapes, furniture, bed spread, and we will never get the smell out. is she right? i have a closet with clothes in it i assume i will have to wash, but what about the other stuff? would really like to know but i have had PM blowing all thru up second floor where i grow for months! All the plants are gone now that had it so it's time to clean. The room it was in and the hall in front have wood floors, but still we kept the room with drapes and carpet open for air flow the whole time so has to be full of spores. Which means, carpets, drapes, bedspread, etc have them too.

i haven't opened it yet so could still take it back. thanks. mds

Sorry to hear about this Marquis, you have a real problem!

Your carpets, drapes and any fabrics may probably never smell the same after a good dose of sulphur... which is highly irritating and somewhat toxic. It kills mold! What's it going to do to you?

That being said, how does one get that PM out without replacing all the carpet, drapes, etc. I don't think it is possible without using sulphur or some other highly toxic agent.

i guess that leaves taking down everything to the dry cleaners or washing machine, and renting a carpet cleaner. probably wouldnt matter if i got the sulphur (sulfur?) or not at that point if i have to take things in to get cleaned, whats this diff if i am washing out mold or sulpher. shit! anybody got any personal experience you would like to share. thanks Chief, take care o'that Milky Way! you think that, given that spores are everywhere anyway, that keeping humidity down and nite temps up, removing big fans leaves and spraying them with cali-green weekly would keep the stuff at bay? i also sprayed all my veg crop with eagle 20. i dont suppose that in any way would inoculate plants from catching it.

My grow room only smells like sulfur for 2-3 days after burning.
No carpet or drapes in the grow room though.
I would seal your grow area and sulfur burn with exhaust off.
This will keep it from the surrounding materials.

Use Lysol(kills 99% of moldS and mildews) to spray the rest of areas you want to treat.
You can treat a room at a time easily.

Best thing IMO is to get new plants in the room.
Do a 1-2 hour burn for 2 days with plants.
The sulfur goes systemic and stays in the plants cells.
Just like smoked meat.
Like an inoculation of medicine that stays with the plant.

I burn sulfur in my clone/veg area as a routine every 3 months.
Even if no PM visible.
