After Mr Tea asked about my hash run %'s.
I have just finished a dry sift run with my A.P.E. agricultural pollen extractor.
I ran approx. 4 lbs of very frosty trim.
About 1/3 of a years run.



I ended with 8 ozs + of nice gold powder.
My estimates at 12.5% recovery is right on the mark.

I have to keep on a timer with the APE.
I put some glass hammer stones in for 2 hours of tumbling.
I then remove the big stones, I replace with smaller stones, then tumble another hour.
After that, all stones removed and tumbled another hour.
I run 1 lb of trim at a time x 4 runs, and take 3-4 days running the tumbler(lots of fuck off time)on and off.

Took a few runs to find the right time cycles in order to keep the green out.
It's all good stuff now.

You must be getting somewhere between 40-60% gland heads. Buy some screens and card that down to 99% gland heads and you'll get a 2-5% return, max. Once I start getting enough trim it will be nice to just run a few lbs of trim and then use what's left for water hash. Here's some 99% gland head dry sift that has been pressed. Highest amount of terpenes in a concentrate that is currently available to the masses.

I see what you're saying, but this I can't agree with!!! Smoking 99% gland heads is "50%" healthier than smoking 49% gland heads. Not to mention potency. Doesn't mean you're in a concentrate competition if you are just trying to make a pure product. To each his own...

For some reason, no matter what I say, some young fella knows better.
Maybe young people need 99% pure to inject their cannabis for the ultimate ride.
Not me, not a pot head that needs to be 99% baked all day.
My dry sift is a pleasure to smoke, and am confident of it's purity.
There are a few here that enjoyed it, without being toxified by some mystery compound found within.
Makes my head hurt No! Not the hash!

I snorted a line of hash in my early 20's trying to get higher.
I can still feel the pain of it tearing into my mucus membranes.
I was in the most extreme pain(sinus wise) ever.
My sinuses felt like they were gonna catch fire.
Hurt for about 4 hours.
No wonder resin burns your eyes if you wipe some in them.
It may have gotten me high, but couldn't feel it through the pain.
Made me believe in spontaneous combustion.
Ooouch!

For me the 99% is not about being more fucked up inthe best way possible, rather it is about pushing boundaries and not settling for anything less than what is possible. With dry sift anyone can make the perfect product, but with BHO PHO and all other resin based extractions not many people can afford $3,000-15,000 for a closed loop unit. If I have the ability and time to turn my 45% glands into 99% I am going to do it not; it's not like I buy alfalfa from my local hydro store and kelp from KIS Organics. I buy both the alfalfa and kelp from KIS Organics because I am not going to settle for anything less.

Making first batch of Glycerin Tincture. Just got a Gallon off the 'zon. Also couple packs of 4 ea T5 bulbs. This is my game plan:

Pre-heat oven to 170*F with 1/2 sheet tray inside
Grind 1 oz of Black Cherry Soda and spread out on heated 1/2 sheet tray
***snort all of the fine powder out of the grinder...wait wait that's not part of the recipe...
decarboxylation schedule:
30 minute @170*f
15 minute @185*
20 minute @ 220*

Allow to cool.
Add decarbed MJ to a sanitized quart mason jar
Add 200-300 grams glycerin (enough to cover)
Mix
Cover mouth with saran wrap and secure lid & band.
Shake daily. Store in dark spot at room tempature for 90 days.
Strain/press/enjoy.
Use pressed MJ to cook up with some cream/milk for Ice cream and cookie dipping.

Anybody done this before? Good results? Never done this before, thought I'd give it a try.
