currently 2,400 watts and 16unit dwc waterfarms

im trying to go for 4-5 lbs

lets see how i go

Just reread the post.
OK
You want to increase lighting by 30%. You should be able to increase your current setup by 30%. You should be OK adding another 4-8 units to you current waterfarm setup. Hopefully your yield should go up 30% from what you pull now.

Another way to look at is.
You are currently running 2.4kw of lighting and your target range is 1.8-2.2kg.
I think you can acheive your weight without adding extra lighting.
Using the above numbers your gram per watt (gpw) target would be from .75gpw-.91gpw. If you added more lights to reach 3.6kw your gpw would drop to .5gpw-.6gpw.
So back to the 2.4kw. I think climate control and genetic selection and dialling in your grow may give you better results than just throwing light at it.

Grow Sea of Green….single cola style.

4 female clones per sq/ft.

Don't veg them….straight on to 12/12.

Way more yield.

this.../\/\/\

was able to get 1.25 - 1.5 gram/watt this style...plant count was a bit OTT for me though...

so i decided to do an experiment

i upgraded my waterfarm to 16 units
and i got 19 grow bags with 19 blumats in there feeding them i wanted to find a keeper so i sprouted 35 regular seeds of ( skunk#1 x sleestack ) from sam the skunk man

gonna find a few different phenotypes nd make mothers and go for gold im running 3k at the moment

conditions are perfect

veg 27.C humidity 65%
lots of air flow
thermostats etc
ph in hydro 5.8 and in soil 6.0
nutes general hydroponics flora

:tiphat: lets see how we go

Looking good.
I have a bag of sleestack skunk beans in the fridge. I am interested to see how yours turn out.
Your regime looks well thought out.

Lookin healthy enough .

Give each plant its own space to breath and you will see different expressions .
Plants breath CO2 , they need space around the leaves and air flow to replenish the CO2 or growth slows .

Also I hear what your saying re lookin for phenos, but the clone will grow differently in structure compared to the seed mother . Usually less apical dominance and bushier .

You have paid attention to climate control, that will come in handy over the Summer .
Lower EC if the plants are transpiring hard .

Interested to see that Sleestack / SK do its thang .

Thanks for sharin

thanks for the reply Elmer
i agree the spacing is a td too close i wanted too see how they performed in close proximity but you are right next run ill change the buckets with better spacing so the plants can breathe more but the environmental conditions are dialled in and the nutrients are dialled in and the temps of the water are on a perfect 19-20*C i love the fact how much better the oxygen take up is with everything dialled in i like the ph set at 5.5 so the swing is rare the nutes hardly ever need a justing once they are set im pleased how they are going im just about to flower im thinking they are going to stretch big time ive topped them once already and they are growing fast also flushing is a breeze thanks to my inline magnetic drive pump its a breeze and RDWC is great once you know what you are doing lets see how many lbs i get

That chiller is a good investment .
DWC must have cool water or it goes south fast .

Keeping room temp below 30 is the next priority . Over 30 and the plants stop growing . The roots and leaves shut down to save water .
Then about 60 % humidity till late flower . That will help the plants with their transpiration and up take . Too low humidity and the stomata close to conserve water . Too high humidity and the air is full of water and the plants also slow down .

Environment control = Happy plants .

Thanks for sharin

yes what i found is that with RDWC you need to get that chiller happening enough to keep the temps down it was a great investment and im doing my best to keep the levels at a good spot ive increased the air flow and ive also got a dehumidifier thats in the room with a good resivour attached to make the capacity bigger so basicly i remove the excess water
from the dehumidifier these plants are very sativa dominant plants with very nice stretching and internodal growth ive got 2 phenotypes that ive super cropped and topped so the results im waiting on im still seeing if i got all the males out of the room but im sure i did as most plants all have pistils ive made mothers from the ones i liked so far for next run and so on

T

TheBatCave

hi there guys as you guys know ive been working hard in the grow room
working with the ladies they are looking great they are in flower
1.5 weeks into it and im seeing great changes already

now with that said ive got still a little while yet to go but im pleased with the stretching and branching out of the tops ive topped them already and ive began to support the girls with bamboo and tire wire ties
things are shaping up really good im really pleased how lush and green the plants are the nutes are dialled in and the room temps are not to bad either
im glad tho because this time i didnt use feminised seeds and wanted to find a good mother and ive done that i took some clones just before the flip and they are doing well

the best investment i did was buying that water chiller and taking out the rez and putting it outside the room all is going well and hope to get a few lbs :tiphat:

*Lighting 2400Watts 4x600w Mh/Hps

*current setup RDWC waterfarm from general hydroponics

*nutrient line General hydroponics flora 3 part nutrient mix

*Room temps 29.C Humidity 43%
*ppm 1400

*rez size 60litre barrel
Aquarium chiller resun 200, 200litre capacity
magnetic drive inline pump for recirculating and flushing /(super fast)

update

update

things are looking good everything is going to plan the girls are entering their final stretch ive already started to tie up the plants
and make them bend and shoot straight back up for the lights
added a portable air conditioner 10000btu 2.5 kw that should do the trick to keep those temps down
i noticed a little calcium deff so i bumped the ph up to 6.0
they are really starting to smell nice been doing my routine cleaning duties and been making sure everything is right ordered some more calmag as i was running out so waiting for that to arrive

heres some updates enjoy
