I dont think he's a hero, but he most likely did more good than bad and did a lot more than most people ever will.
I dont know enough about the ins and out of his personal or private life to comment, but I wont knock a fella for trying or for treating the Feds like c>>>s they are

'Back in the day', Emery was and still is a legend. He paid the price for thinking he was invincible, no one could touch him. Sadly, others wanted to prove him incorrect. Hopefully a better outlook for him.

Good to know he's free.

you're not rocking any boats you're just making bellend comments about someone who has done more than sit on his ass typing shit into a forum - and done 4 years for it
And the idolatry continues...

One thread has already disappeared for questioning the temple of Marc, try and keep up. Though perhaps rightly so. When his supporters and detractors are emotionally involved, things turn nasty quickly. I do find it telling that most people who disparage Marc live within spitting distance of Van, where first hand accounts abound, and those that venerate him do so from a great distance.

If you want to know who Marc is, open your eyes and look around. He put himself in jail, I'm not going to venerate him because of that, or be foolish enough to believe that has helped the situation in Canada. Sam has a huge ego, but he's got nothing on the self titled Prince of Pot. More good than bad? Such as when his actions forced many on the West Coast to close up shop and relocate?

I'm not a bloody activist, I don't march in the streets, wave banners or leap in front of cameras. I punch keys on a forum and am here to learn from the community, not to break down walls and change the world. Big freakin' whoop.

I did like bellend though. Had to google it XD

Discussion is always welcome... however throwing around accusations and making bold statements of HATE are generally frowned upon.

I started a thread about Marc's upcoming release a month or so ago... my fingers got burnt so badly from the mere posting of information that I nearly left the site. I was APPALLED and DISMAYED at the VITRIOL, HATE and misinformation gathered from hearsay that was strewn throughout the thread.

This is not the goal of the Cannagraphic community, to condemn and damn folks for ANY REASON.

Then I realized it was my duty to stand up to the forces of hate and evil and continue to spread peace... it is my mission and if anyone has a problem with that please let me know!

So discuss all you want... but try to keep it civil, as in civilized...

Thank you, rant over!

Mikell edited his post, mine is now moot.

Payaso, I've given out too much rep lately apparently, I can't spread any your way :D.

Well thanks, I didn't intend to post in this thread anymore but just wanted to clarify that my earlier post about marc ripping off USA MEDICAL PATIENTS/GROWERS was neither an accusation nor bold statement, but rather a WELL-DOCUMENTED FACT.

I know it's a fact because I was on the CannabisCulture forum when marc made the post, I saw it first-hand and until several years ago there were many (now broken!) links to his post on the CC website.

Marc's post also made it into one of the following months issues of High Times magazine warning USA customers to be wary of buying anything from EmerySeeds.

..... and just for the record, here's what marc posted in response to his USA customers inquiries into why they weren't getting their seeds:

First of all, we are not losing customers at all. We have never had so much interest in the seeds we sell. Any problems experienced can be dealt with if the complainants stay polite, but once they become abusive or begin posting heated, crazed rhetoric, then we terminate any interest in dealing with that person. I find this abusive behaviour unfathomable considering we have their address and pertinent details of what they are doing but somehow feel they can abuse us and provoke us. I wouldn't be doing that to anyone I had sent written proof to that I was growing marijuana/requesting marijuana seeds.

Fortunately, we have never had to resort to dealing severly with miscreants who don't understand their self-incrimination.

..... so, there you have it.:tiphat:

That's fucked up. If you're illegally selling seeds you shouldn't be threatening your customers with potential reporting to the authorities for being unhappy customers. You certainly shouldn't be making that threat if you're a supposed warrior for legalization. There's a certain irony to his jail time.

So it's trial by pop media now?

Were you personally ripped off Cosmic Giggle?

Sorry to have to ask... but I see folks all riled up, about something from years ago. Looks as if he's paid some time for whatever crimes he did and perhaps a bit of compassion should be shown by just realizing that you just need to let that shit go...

:)

Edit: Just wanted to add that we should not for get the past, but move alone and never deal with the guy again if that's what you believe to be true... otherwise this bit of news about his release has been beaten to death, once again, and therefore the topic is closed.
