Original Amnesia was HORRIBLE before, now THRIVING:

Cheese that was literally bandaged around entire base just to help it stand, now loving life:
picture.php

And last of the problems is this cheese that used to have some funky problems of all sorts which is now turning a uniform green:

Two girls that have never been an issue - one on left side of line was topped and has two main colas, Black Domina dominant mixes:

The thing to note is that ALL of the ladies in the ground are praying! Finally! No yellowing leaves on the bottoms and all praying.... YES!!! :dance013: (Thank God!!!)

The two Headbanger babies (one is HB for sure, waiting for a little growth to identify the other..... ):

Decided to top the Chocolate Chunk and Happy Brother so as to have some nice clones.

Chocolate Chunk top (not very hollow):

Happy Brother top (extremely hollow):

To end the evening I planted the Hash Plant Haze and two Sour Jack babies.. The SJs are not 100% Sour Jack (due to inventory error on buddy's behalf) and they are looking like shit. I'm livid about the way these have been handled and decided my best bet would be to get them planted. The fucking lady had these and others sitting outside in pots in 95° + days again and I'm sure they're just frying in the sun.

Aside from the chance of the clones not making it due to miscare, I'm still optimistic about the overall season. I cloned one of the larger Black Dominas as well, one top cut and one puney ass lower limb. I'm having to take a brand new AC to their house to help keep the cuts cool but if the Happy Bro clone makes it, it'll be worth it. No cloning gel, no clone tray.... just homemade everything...

More pictures next week.

EDIT: Have some ewc (organic earthworm castings) coming via snailmail. Should be here next week. Everyone of these ladies have been fed water and organics only. Just minor soil preparation, a little rock dust, etc... No plants have been shown favoritism and the Happy Brother is shining above the crowd, for my 4th year straight..... good stuff.

Looking really nice man. The coloring on all of those really gets better and better each new update. Really starting to explode I think that Happy Bro is just going to be a monster by the end of the season.
Looking great though I know it has to feel so much better having everything doing so much better and looking so healthy.

Sorry to hear about the Sour Jacks.....but the Happy Bros. does look like it will be a beast! I've seen an excellent Hash Plant Haze a few years ago......should get big. Interested in how your Sleeskunk turns out.....I grew three from seed last summer.

Good Luck and good weather to you!

Kalyx - the side branch in the Happy Bro pictures is already taller than the top I just removed from it (for clone, two days ago). She never even drooped, praying harder now than she was before topping. This is the first time I've been able to breathe easy since the start of season. As long as I don't step on or put my hand in the mouth of a highly fucking venomous snake this season, I anticipate GOOD things. Until just a week ago, I was having doubts. Now I'm thinking Happy Bro and about 6-7 others could go BIG.

TIM - One of the SJs is almost dead already.... they said from grasshoppers but it looks like something else to me. The other has just gotten over being in 100°+ temps in the pot it was in and finally developed its first true node. Still way too small to tell if it's Karma genetics but whatever it is, it's been stunted for sure! The Happy Brother plants I've had experience with have been 2-4 times the size of this one at 2.5 weeks so I'm not sure what to expect at this point. Hash Plant Haze has just taken to the new environment and starting to darken its shade of green. The sleeskunk is having problems but nothing huge. I tried watering it a little heavy this morning but will not know until next time I check as to whether it's looking better. She wasn't drooping but just not thriving, either. If it's not looking better tomorrow, I'll just top feed a week or two earlier than planned.

Had a visitor in Chocolate Chunk's mulch this morning (which is the only bad part about using native mulch - notice how well they blend in with the leaves):
picture.php

Buddy killed 11 last season. This is the 2nd of the season already, 1st for me. I actually had a premonition about this before I left the house and went back in to change into pants and snake boots. Fucker was right under my feet......

Well glad to know everything is finally going really well on the grow. I know it has to be extremely relieving to be at that point where you can sit back and relax a little. Im sure its helped your quality of sleep also, I know I have a hard time getting good sleep if I have issues with my garden.

Good thing you had the premonition to put on some boots man. Really crazy how well that snake blends in, you could had easily stepped right on that. Heres hoping those don't become a regular sightings for you visiting the garden. I guess making sure you have some nice thick boots on would always be a good decision.

Yeah Kalyx. I just top fed 'em the other day so I'm hoping they'll be even happier this weekend. Killed a rattlesnake just outside of their driveway last night. Looks like I'll be wearing the snake boots till it cools down a little.

I'm very relieved to have everything at the point it is. Only you and another member or two have heard further in PMs about the bs I've dealt with. Been crazy but I'm hoping it'll all pay off in a few months. Too much $ in genetics in the ground for failure now. We'll see..... my main concern at this point is the high temps (buddy/buddy's wife won't water daily) and whether or not the clones will be tended to. My makeshift cloning dome is holding enough humidity so I'm cautiously optimistic about 'em.

Also - the Happy Brother cut revealed its gender and it is indeed another female. The Happy Bro in the ground has not shown any pistils yet. Guessing because the clone went inside to cooler temps.. Freakishly lop-sided results on sexes this season. All but 2 have been males so far!

Pictures to come this weekend.

Everything is looking good in the garden. Better than good..... Top feeding the ladies has created an explosion of green lushness :dance013:. I'm really getting excited now!

Happy Brother at 8 weeks amazes me (two weeks in the ground, 1 week after topping, 4 days after first top feeding):
picture.php

The red star shows the approximate area where the top was taken. The yellow star shows a guesstimate of where the true top was (height-wise). In one week most of the tops are as tall (close) as the original top was. This is my first time topping Happy Bro and I'm extremely pleased with the results!
picture.php

Compared to last week, the overall growth is no less than 5-6". I believe some of the side nodes have grown more than that!
Picture from a week before:

Lots of work in the garden, I'll get some better pictures of Sleeskunk and Chocolate Chunk ASAP. Literally every plant in the garden is looking prime!

Looking great RandomMan! The green on the plants looks perfect they are looking very happy and healthy.

That Happy Bro really responded well to topping, your not kidding.
She now just looks like she is going to be one massive bush with all kinds of tops.
That side branching really exploded and took off.

Looking forward to the next update.

Sad update with Happy Brother. Here she is at 10.5 weeks old. (picture from August 2nd)
picture.php

I was out of town and not able to post my weekly update until the following week (11.5 weeks old). I had to leave in the middle of the week and decided not to take the 11.5 week old picture. When I returned, three days later, I got a call around noon. Buddy said the plant looked droopy. I rushed over and found her like this:

picture.php

As soon as I looked at her, I saw a shit-ton of carpenter ants coming out of the main stalk where she was topped. I went on an ant killing spree and commenced to drowning hundreds of ants inside of the plant, eventually filling up the main stalk with water and forcing all of the ants out. If I'd been in town this would have been avoided. Talk about super fucking heart-broken, I've waited over a week to update the thread because it bothered me so much. Within 36 hours of receiving the phone call, Happy Brother was completely brittle. She was just over 5', even being topped. Words cannot express my disappointment.

There is a small clone of her in the garden but nothing like the monster this was going to be.
=[

............................................................

The Chocolate Chunk and Sleeskunk ended up being males:

Going to keep the Sleeskunk for a project I'll share later.

Amnesia has become the best female in the garden. Several monsters so we're blessed on that end of things. I'll update this thread at the end of season with final weights, pics, etc.....

(Amnesia leaf from yesterday)

Thanks for everyone that tuned in, hate that this didn't turn out as planned......

Hey rm,

Sad to see a plant in that state nature can be cruel to outdoor growers.

Do you know where your amnesia is from or is this a clone from your area ?

Thanks
GA

Hey GA,

Clones growing are: Shoreline, Black Domina (untested cut from this year), and Happy Brother (from this year's girl that just died).

The Original Amnesia is from Dinafem, I believe.

Onto a happier note, the butter from Happy Brother has cooled. I'll be going over to make Double Chocolate Chip cookies in a few !! :woohoo: I like space cakes so added some old skunk trimmings, about 40% skunk, 60 Happy Brother. Right at an O for one stick of butter (should do the trick).

Thanks for stopping by the thread. :tiphat:

Hey randomman, just got caught up on your thread. I can't believe ants were inside the stem! Grasshoppers, snakes and ants, damn nature can be brutal. That's sad that monster plant died :(

Last year I did an outdoor grow and didn't realise I planted near an underground wasp nest, that was really freakin shitty, I was almost too scared to check on my plants

Enjoy those space cakes man!

Had a hard time with losses this season. Shoreline cuts I stumbled onto will be the saving grace.... well, that and a lot of beans on a few pollination projects.

Damn the cloudy days, tried 3 days in a row to get good pictures and finally gave up today and made due with what I could get:

Close to 7' tall on this one, 2 weeks into flower:

Most everything else is 3-4 weeks in....

For what has certainly become my most prized possession in the garden, Shoreline lightly dusted with Sleeskunk:

I'm very excited about the Shoreline cut. Counted 7 babies on her yesterday evening and praying for more.

Couldn't get pictures of the other half of the garden (ran out of daylight).

Hash Plant Haze and Connie Chung have really come on nicely as well as a few more Black Domina crosses...

Will update with better pics ASAP or at the end of season with a bean count, nug shots, weight, etc.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in.
