Hydro and soil together?

Hey folks, have the last of my soil based plants in flower, with about 25 days left give or take.

I'm moving to drip hydro and have several plants in waterfarms waiting to flower. I decided not to put them in the flower room with soil before checking here.

For some reason, I don't know why, but I feel like this is a no-no to mix the two.

Thoughts?

my only gripe with soil is that it seems to come with pests unless you go with like high end worm castings, sterilized coco and perlite. if your garden is pest free, i see no reason you can't flower them in the same room.

Thanks for that.

I did have root aphids in my soil grow. I have eliminated them and plants in soil are well into flower. In the next room, I have the drip hydro in veg. Pulled up a bucket and had aphids all in the roots. Treated the same as soil (I have a thread on what I used) and haven't seen a single aphid since. I figured at that point that the hydro had already been exposed to the aphids, treated, and that there was little reason to keep them apart as they were already affecting each other.

I think I will plop one of them in the flower room. The plant is getting massive and needs to be flipped anyway. Thanks for the insight.
