Mystery film canister seeds are posted up poolside

So I found these seeds when I moved about 6 months ago. They were so stereotypically in an old black/gray film canister..lol I racked my noggin for a couple days trying to remember what they were but I came up empty... sooo.... Once we got settled in I popped them...
They made it to day 9 and I had to go in the hospital(pneumonia).
I was in for 8 days and when I walked in the house I went straight to the window sill and they were wilted severly... I thought dead for sure..
well one did die, but the other two stood up as ordered and are kickin' right along

One of them auto topped a few days ago, I know this is a genetic mutation but can xtreme stress (which these certainly suffered..lol) cause these types of mutations?
anyone.. anyone... Bueller... Bueller....
Not that im against mutants, neat stuff to be found in there, but Ive never stressed a plant this much and then let it live... idk... i dont have anything else going at the moment so what the hell...

I know this isnt a vary exciting thread...lol It's far from a benchmark project but I thought the mystery of the seeds might provide some entertainment... I had to take a break this year because of life stuff...
but i digress...lol

So I moved them outside yesterday. It's been really hot so I tucked them up under that palm.



They didnt falter the first bit they just prayed right up...
Looking fine so far, I still dont know what they are... once they start flowering im sure ill be like ohhhh thats right...lol one has showed sex with some purty little pistil's...lol te other one i'm almost sure is a male, but u never know.

I guess film cans are going to be a thing of bygone days soon.
Hardly ever see the metal ones with the screw top any more.

I love a good shaggy dog story- subbed. I imagine somebody (you?) smoking some shit a few years ago, and thinking, "wow, good shit, I'm saving these seeds." So you did, but the shit was so good, you forgot all about saving the seed, and here we are xx years later. Might be some, as we used to say, dynamite shit.

Yeah i used them for everything, (labled and mystery), up until maybe 10 or 12 years ago when the disposable gladware containers came out...lol

The fact that it wasnt labled in shorthand, on top, with a sharpie, tells me it's def bagseed.... I just cant remember for the life of me when and who I got it from, or what the smoke was like... but yeah, I wouldnt have kept it if it wasnt interesting...

Looking at the dates on the posts & the pre-flowers - did you really get those pre-flowers 14 days after Germ, while you're still in veg cycle ?

Just a little update... the one that auto-topped and showed male, is now producing pistils
Never had a male turn female, or herm for that matter.... Cant tell which way this one is going to go at the mo.... as of now its all girl on top....guess we'll see lol

Haha.... not sure how the dates worked out... but the plants are much older than they look... they were in a kind of stasis for 10 or 12 days in low light.... when I first got home I watered them with a maxicrop/superthrive solution and left them in the windowsill for a couple days before putting them under 4' fluorescents, they perked up immediately, but didnt start growing for about a week.... once they started growing I gave them a couple days before putting them outside... best I can figure they were maybe 27 or 28 days old when the one showed sex... and they were under 18/6... I have had late season starts show sex when they were that young before but usually when U put them outside... Right now our day is 13 hours long and if you have a 3 week old plant in veg under 18/6 and put it outside not only will it show sex... most varieties will begin flowering in earnest...
Aaaanyway.... I would say there about 6 weeks old now... haha
Should be muuuch larger... but Ill be honest, I'm suprised they survived the first couple weeks.... lol

Here you can see pretty well one of the nodes with male flowers on the plant that auto-topped.... It spit out male flowers on a couple nodes, then switched sides...lol
Nothing but tufts of white sexiness since...

guess i should have included an overhead shot of the pistils to complete the comparison...
I'll get those up tomorrow....
