Which terpenes are psychoactive by themselves?
Have you ever tried terpenes by their selves?
I have and do not agree, they are not even in the same league as THC for psychoactivity, not even close.
The reason more tepenes in a plant has more of an effect is because the terpenes modify the THC effects. No THC, no effects from the terpenes, or at least almost none. If they got you high alone they would be illegal, think about it.

I couldn't list the effects from personal experience for every terpene but I've been using essential oils to clean up the air and clear my sinuses for a few years and definitely feel an effect when I overdo something like a citrus oil.

I've used lavender oil as a relaxation agent for a while too and definitely feel an effect.

But the one I've tried that had to most effect was probably Frankincense, it's a strong anti depressant, too much and you might get nauseous but it definitely works.

maybe psychoactive wasn't the right word but they do have psychological and physiological effects on their own, of course concentration comes into play.

First of all I was only trying terpenes found in Cannabis as that is all you can get if you smoke Cannabis high in terpenes.
As for Frankincense and the others you mention if they can get you high then the churches must be guilty of distributing mind altering substances.
Either way I will stick to good old Cannabis if I want to get high, it works for sure, and has natural terpenes in it.
I wonder if anyone has gotten to high on terpenes alone?
I do agree they have psychological and physiological effects on their own, just not so sure they really get me HIGH!!!

Citrus oil contain Limonene , Lavender has Linalool. Last I checked cannabis contains these as well.

Christianity is a drug cult.. just look at the anointing oil, I know some cannabis aficionados claim it contained cannabis which it probably didn't but even then with everything else it had, jesus must have been flying after that oil bath.

and Frankincense has indeed been proven to have anti depressant properties, also all major religions use frankincense in some form..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankincense#Medical_research

A 2008 study reported that frankincense smoke was a psychoactive drug that relieves depression and anxiety in mice.[21][22] The researchers found that the chemical compound incensole acetate[23] was responsible for the effects.[21]

I remember going to church when I was younger and hating the smell, I found it made me nauseous, it still does but in small doses it's quite effective in treating depression.

I don't believe incensole acetate is present in cannabis but that was simply an example.

I'm just trying to make sense behind the cure, I've experienced the same with some sativas plants, total bunk for 2 months then suddenly the potency was unleashed.. not one hit wonders which I've found are usually found in plants that are extremely pungent but much more potent nonetheless.

Great thread! I love reading how folks from different parts of the world can share their knowledge to help each other out. A friend was reminiscing about the Thai of the 70s. I say..I (we) need to bring the Thai stick back in our pipes lol

On seeds- I am wondering who has the best seeds reminiscent of the legendary Thai stick?

I was an altar boy and had to hold and swing that incense holder as it billowed out it's toxic foul smelling smoke,so if you think that shit smelled bad from the 6th pew, try being enveloped in that toxic crap ......I hated that horrible smelling Catholic incense with a vengeance as it made me nauseous too. But I do like the best Thai incense and Indian agrabatti from Bangalore, which is pleasant to the senses (but only very occasionally in small doses...I actually haven't burned any incense myself for ages).

I'm surprised no one knows the reason why there's such a vast improvement in potency and effects that happens with long duration flowering thin leaved ganja after a long storage period (compared to wide leaf short duration flowering strains)

It's not easy to tell from the photos, but she looks a little immature to me. Try and let those others go a lot longer, a month or more longer if you can.....you know what they say about long flowering sativas, if it looks ready, then wait another 6 weeks.

Thin leaf plants tend to dry out much faster than wide leaf strains....so a good way is to hang the whole plants, rather than branches (in a cool and dark place with a little air movement) and they will dry out slower rather than too fast. I'd also suggest you try and not smoke these for a few months after they are bottled up.

I was going to suggest at least a month to look more towards finish, nice grow. Other then that is good to always have a flowering room flowering that way you are just constantly flowering anyways so long flowering girls are not so much "torture"> have fun!

Is that one still running ? Or retrospective ?
What was its life span ?

See ! I`m not the only one who sees Mullum and thinks Colombian .
I think its a case of only Jah knows . Appreciate it for what it is now . Not for what is in it from years gone by .

I think that food and herb from a season in a region reflect a moment on the song line /time line . Are meant to be consumed and used then replenished .

I wonder if some folks have trouble going to the toilet . The way they want to hang on to days past .

Thanks for sharin

Such an interesting lady. She is stretching very vigorously. Started flowering at about 3 inches. Close to 2 feet fall now, in about 2 or 3 weeks.

If it smells, tastes, as good as it looks it must be great. Maybe I need to grow one of these. is it from seed or clone?
