So are the pics working for everyone else?

Can't remember exactly but I think this is only my 6th or 7th run with closed loop/vac purging. Definitely looking for feedback :)

Made with a Terpp extractor and purged in an Across international 0.9 cuft. Newport as solvent.

cheers

First pic on the 2nd post, is that liquid butane in the pyrex on top of parchment? I thought that was a no-no due to the silicone.

Nice. Whats the temps on each shelf?

Started the purge at 105* on the PID controller which gave 93* top/97* bottom. Went up a degree after 48 hours. Turned it up one more last night at 60hrs.

Now it's at 99* on the bottom and 95* on the top. Been switching back and forth.

Gonna be filling the other two racks today so I'll have all four full for the first time. Pretty excited :)

It's oil slick sheet, it's PTFE. Only gripes are the price and how sticky it is for the first +24hrs. It gave me so much trouble. Because of these two reasons I'm only going to use the PTFE sheet for the pour, then transfer to pan lining paper from there on out.

The pan lining paper is way easier to work with IMO. I can pull my slabs out and not even let em cool before I flip em. With the oilslick I had to let it cool quite a bit for it to not stick.

I do want to start pouring like bret maverick does where you recovery all of your tane. Then you can pour onto the pan lining paper. Although that will be a lot easier, a lot will be left behind in the collection pot...which sucks obviously.

Yeah I love the pan lining sheets too, so much easier to work with. Lays flat, seems to conduct heat more evenly, and since its a little thicker you can peel the slabs right off most of the time.

what are u using as a shelf?
how u like ur terpp?
everything looks fire.

Thanks bro!

Using AI's stainless steel shelves. A lot of people have told me SS is bad because it is a poor conductor of heat, but doesn't that also mean it holds heat longer? Idk, maybe just stoner logic. I like em a lot though. I have a great technique for flipping with them that doesn't work with the wire racks.

I love my Terpp MKIII! Such a sweet unit. Terpp has AMAZING customer service too! Any issues I've had with my extractor were from parts I got before Terpp and Austin STILL took care of me! Such solid dudes at Terpp! The new gal in charge of customer service is awesome too :)

Pushing 150 Hrs on these...gotta change something next time lol. Think I'm going to stick with these temps and just go thinner. Three 19g slabs would have been way better than these two(35.2 and 25.1).

Quality is there for sure. Did some sample dabs at the last flip with some friends...by far the best part of this 'hobby' :)

I have the same ovens, I would suggest bringing your wire racks to lowes, and having them cut some marble or granite into shelf size square and setting them ontop of the wire rack. Because if you notice, different parts of the slabs will purge differently

This was actually on the solid stainless steel shelves. I had that problem with the wire racks during the first 12 hours. It started pooling up in between the wires on the rack. Actually looked like it was starting to wax up in the deeper parts. Thinned it all out and everything turned out okay.

Definitely plan to get some marble shelves in the near future. I like the SS ones, just too expensive to get two more.
