Im planing on taking a road trip to Co. have questions.

Ok so im planning a road trip to Colorado, for like the 18th for a week. But because I never been there in the summer. and only been there once in my life when I was a kid to go skiing. that was 26 years ago.

Ill be taking my doggy on this trip. so do any of yall know what part of Co. to go to that is most dog friendly.

I been watchen videos on peoples trips to Co. and looken for places to stay and things to do.

thanks for any tips, and ideas for my trip.

yall gave me great advice for my past two trips to California 2012,2013.

now its time to take my doggy on a road trip this year. trying to get the thing ill need for the car so she can have a relaxing trip on the road...

Look for "dog friendly" lodging...lots of them, plus nice beer patios (sometimes called "petios") you can take your dog. Depending on where you are going, check out the city or town's calendar. Lots of festivals in August. And Weedmaps of course.

well it looks like my trip might have to be taken else where because all the weather sites say that a lot of Colorado is going to be mostly raining for most of this next week, like between 30% and 80% in the PM. but also on the radar on the west side of Co. it looked dry and sunny with no rain. so maybe I should check out that side of Co.

how often does Co.'s weather change in a week?

like where I live now it can change fast, like one minute having a 40%chance of rain to next not gunna rain all in the same day.

There is a seasonal monsoon rain which normally comes the last couple weeks of July and the first couple weeks in August. The rain comes so fast it is like turning on a faucet and than it goes away that fast. Depending on your exact location you might get clouds, or showers, or cloudburst or clear skies. Summer in Colorado is outside stuff like hiking, fishing, and checking out the mountains. The lions and bears don't eat much but the mosquitos in the mountains sure do. The mountain areas tend to be very conservative and have opted out of selling recreational. Check out Nederland (by Boulder) if you can afford it, Breckenridge which is pot friendly but expensive ski/tourist area, or down South around Pueblo which is more pot friendly if you are into a more dry climate.

OK so we been looking at the weather all over Colorado and found that the week we're going will be mostly sunny. So it looks like we'll be going after all. woo hoo! and we might drive towards NM to get there because its a much prettier drive. in stead of the flat lands drive.
cant wait too get to the mountains to take photos of the beauty of it all.
