That's definitely something I'm hot for right now too.. a beautiful violet purple girl.. I did the CannaVenture PurpleBerry BX2, it was universally loved! Nice and purple, shame to have let her go. CV does some great work.

Though, I'm feeling very blessed for having acquired the Chem's Sis.. has some incredible potential for offspring, as we've seen lol. Fortune and Karma and luck have all been good to me lately. :D

Damnit Frank, you blew my mind and here I am looking for Karma and Relentless genetics having been up for 24 hours and gotta work in 6... luckily it's just a hydro store, so slight tardiness and short term memory loss are already occupational hazards. ;)

I've gotta go to bed guys. Look forward to updating you all on my progress!

Thanks man! Do you have a journal dealy up here too? I'm really really really looking forward to those CannaVenture Mom's Mix.. ECSD Clone, Lemon Skunk clone, Hogsbreath clone, and pre-98 bubba kush pollinated by a pre-98 bubba kush BX, Sour D IBL, and a Sour Double Kush. Looooots of crazy different plants were to be found in these, I just happened to have found them in my seed-stash box and put all 5 down.

Peace and happy gardening!
Yeah, you can look at my grow here https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=290292
I'll have to check out CannaVenture, their stuff sure looks scrumptious!:yummy:

SERIOUSLY man!! I never get to stop! It's good though, too many people I know grow overly content and it turns into complacency. The no longer feel they need to learn or try new things or seek out new things. I feel that beyond growing plants I'm growing myself, too. I learn more every day, and make it a point to. Every facet of my grows I try to improve upom every day. The way I see it is if im not constantly improving and adapting to what's new, or even try to think about future trends and shifts, I'm just stagnating.

Thank you for the kind words. Do you have a grow I can scope out?

Well, I forgot to swipe the good camera from my girlfriend, so I have some more shitty res pictures to add, unfortunately they're all from my most-complete ( grow rooms are never finished! Lol) spot. I've got some soil samples to tell you guys about and show you, my beans came today as well as still remaining very curious about the genetics Frank had mentioned too. I'm going to try and acquire a cut or two, if anyone has any specific recommendations between them and relentless please let me know! I did some pruning and feeding, I'll talk a little about my theories regarding tailoring your feeding to the different stages of growth and would appreciate any feedback or knowledge in regards to that as well.

I'll upload the pictures when I get home from dropping off a few gals as the newest spot I'll upload the pictures and if the dab fresh from the vac oven doesn't knock me out I'll write another update

Also, Frank, I forgot to mention: I HAVE heard of the BkGK being around the New Buff/border area. My partner/caregiver at that spot pretty much said the same thing, and he knows someone around there still does it. It's absolutely gorgeous! If I lived down there/knew more people that way (not that I'm trying to LOL) I'd probably have a better idea as to where I can grab it. I'll probably just have to hang out at the brewery and listen.

More exciting news as well: im going into Another area nearish where I live next week to survey another spot and consult with the property owner and a mutual friend. I get offers fairly frequently but the property out there sounds absolutely cherry.

Until later!

Alright, sorry for the lack of updates. I didn't mean to just talk a bunch of bullshit and disappear.

I DID get a camera to take some better pictures with, so we'll be seeing some of that.

In the new room, the veg area is up and moving very nicely. We haven't put up drywall all the way around yet (moisture and mold resistant of course) and haven't hung the orca film. Right now the barrier between all of the areas is made from black/white poly attached to the studs. We have one wall to do in the veg room for it to be done and one in flower and a door to hang, another 7 sheets will be required to do all of that so that's no big deal. It sucks I'm as far behind on this project as I am, as I'd like to have been done by now but building two rooms does take a little bit of time.. especially when one considers the amount of time all of the utility necessities are put into the area that will serve as the garden section of the location.

But, it's coming along. The plants are too! We're going to be finished by the end of Monday, and thanks to the generosity of some friends of mine I have girls ready to rock and roll into flower. I've just been so busy driving around and trying to get so much done in places that are far apart as well as work at my friends shop two days a week. I seriously feel like those two days are just "fucking up my Christmas" if you follow me.

Anyways, I've got some pictures for you guys from both the new room and the other room.

Almost everything large in the new room are things that were gifted to me. I have seeds started and have clones I've been given as well, but almost nothing in this room was taken from the other save for 3 plants I brought 2 days ago; two blue dreams and a cold creek kush. I think I'm going to be retiring these two, not quite sure about the blue dream yet, so I brought them with me. They are not in any of these pictures (I believe). I got the camera but the battery was almost dead so I was limited in what I could get.

The girls in the b/w poly bags were the ones that the guy had going before I came. There are 6 of them, before we even started I began treating them for thrips and have since completely eradicated everything in the room. A lot of people just let that shit go it seems like.. I have no fucking clue why. In fact, I was treating someone elses house for mites a bit ago and I was completely baffled with how bad they just let it get. I think a lot of it is a dipshitted "wait it out" approach. I thoroughly douched the plants and soil with spinosad a few times and PRESTO! the plants have grown more in 3 weeks than they had in a considerable amount of time before that. theyve also since been transplanted into 7g fabric pots.

The girl in the black pot is from another friend, and is a very special girl indeed. :) I'm not going into too much detail, but I was so VERY happy to get her! The clones are all from other places as well.

In the room with the green walls are the 6 largest I was given. Probably about 50 inches or so off of the floor at this point. We had construction going on all during this so they're not in the veg room at this point.

The last image is a kilaminjaro bud from the other room. It's a very tasty girl, but unfortunately the tips on this one got jusssst a little singed. I don't think it'll make much of a diff in the end though.

In the first image is a ventilation and a/c layout for one of the gardens done to scale. This was made before ever starting. Planning is key to making sure there's room for everything you want to be doing, including making sure the size of the duct you use is properly calculated. Square footage is a VERY valuable commodity in a room, and to make sure you have everything on the ceiling, floor, and walls in the right places with room to maneuver is something is important for a successful gardening experience. :D

Also something to be sure to do is take the time necessary to tape absolutely EVERY LAST SEAM of EVERY CREVICE in all of the air systems. Insulation on the ducting is also a very good thing. Keep hot things hot, and cool things cool. The trunk itself has also been insulated to prevent condensation by now. Very important for some of the winters up here. Also, more control of the environment is more control of your results, and having access to the daily highs/lows of temperature and humidity will also tell you a LOT about what's going on in the garden and how to react and plan accordingly. I've always said "if you measure it, you can manage it".

That soil mix is what I had planted my gg4 in, in the other garden. It's supposed to be pretty baller.

THIS: is ReCon. It, too, has a reputation for being quite baller.

I am DIGGING this new camera. Sadly I have to put my glasses up to the lens in order to get a color corrected photo. Still a nice pic though.

No high res photos today unfortunately, though I'll be heading down to take some when I'm done with this. I've been as busy a bee as ever... bit of a rant to go on I guess. I'll upload pictures of the room in progress when I return here in a few hours (hopefully.. I might need a nap sometime lol)

I was talking with another two growers today (on two separate occasions) and I had noticed a similarity between all of us. People ask me always "how do I do..." and you can fill in the blank with "larger yields", "better wax", "better wax yields", "get rid of spider mites", "get rid of thrips", "correct this deficiency".. and the list goes on and on. These other two people I had talked to have been at it for a little while now. The one guy has a pole barn with an interior he had redesigned himself to fit his purposes. He had built 4 rooms in it, in fact. He's been at it for five years now. The other guy is older, almost 40. He's good friends with an international breeder and had to decline working at the Cannabis Cup here in Michigan this year because he wanted to stay home and tend to his garden. They both do very well, and I'd noticed the largest similarity between us all was one simple thing:

Passion.

We're dedicated. Dedicated to learn, to grow ourselves and our plants, to expand our horizons and deepen the scope of what we do.

All of the other people around here lack this, and shows. This isn't something to half-ass, and in two separate conversations hours ago we had all come to the same consensus. Most people simply won't dedicate themselves to what they do. It doesn't matter if you grow 1, 10, or 100 plants. If you lack the dedication, the passion.. that ever burning desire to improve upon what you're already doing, and that it isn't enough.. then why even bother?

In a more narrow scope I feel that I see a great mistake in main motivation. If money, pure and simple, is what's motivating you.. it won't be enough. Your name is your brand, your only real line of credit. The two growers I was talking with had just recently ditched either half of or an entire crop. one due to spider mites and another due to a hermaphroditic plant that seeded a bunch of his shit out. I'll tell you, I respect the hell out of people when they make the right decision and, when in those times, sacrifice part of yourself and income for the plants and preserving your name. These are the people who have integrity. One of their direct neighbors, I'm treating his house for spider mites. He intends to keep it all. It's been simple, the fuckin' crabs are easy to shake safely if you know what to do. His main motivation is money, and because it's his primary goal he sees it as a loss of money. The mindset he holds though is so, so, ssoooo short-term. You fuck your brand up when that happens. If you let yourself get to the point of having webs, you're not dedicated enough period. If you see ONE DAMAGED LEAF and don't immediately start an INTENSE regimen of a douche-monsoon of washing your shit so you KNOW it's nowhere else, then you lack the dedication.

This is what I want just one person someday to take away from this. Someone, anyone, if you're following, my handle here is more than a clever play on words, it's a statement of ideology: Nug Life. This is a lifestyle. It's a dedication. Something that, if you want to be successful at, requires sacrifice.

I am on yet another 24 hour waking period, about to go and empty the trash at a location an hour away, which is 10-15 minutes right before the guy shows up. I've put 60k miles on my car in a year and a quarter making shit happen, ensuring its success. After I return from the trash and checking on the girls, I'm working at the hydro store which admittedly is holding me back timewise more than anything.. but this is a sacrifice too: time spent well to get everything I need at complete wholesale cost, including butane which is a HUGE savings. Later this week I know I'll be pulling some crazy waking hours when I see the Relentless seed drop Mr.dank.Frank turned me on to just HOPING I get the things I want.. NEED, even, so that I can progress as I want to.. need to, even.

I work for my lifestyle. I live this plant, it IS me, I swear it... this passion and dedication is what I want someone to take away from this. If you want those bigger yields, the secret to all of your pest problems, the "magic bullet" to getting your rooms to perform as they can and should, you need only passion. Motivate yourself. Read. Live the "nug life", if you follow me. Sacrifice your time, your sleep, whatever it takes. I want other people to fall in love with growing like I had long ago, and the desire to be better and better still BURNS within me. All of the lazy shits I see.. their grows... just think: what do people associate your name with? I know my brand is already strong, and I'm glad I've got so much more time on this earth left and literally an infinite amount to learn and share... I'm looking forward to what's coming next.

Pictures to come. Sorry for boring you. ;)

Its done! It's up and running and has been for a few weeks but between picking up (another) client to rid of bugs (my fuckin AtoMist blew up too >:-I) and PM and dealing with all of the gardens.. well, I know where my priorities lie is all.

Anyway, this image is something I drew up real quick to act as a template for everyone to understand what the fuck they were looking at when I try to explain the ventilation I've run here. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, so I'll let this one do the talking.

It's worth noting I also only have 4 of the 8 lights in here up and running. The bumper crop is nearing the halfway mark so I'll be putting up the additional lights soonish, but I don't want to lose the head room and cramp the space any more than necessary just yet. In the next posts there will be images of a few plants, a couple shots of the room, some poorly placed ventilation shots.. nothing crazy. I'm just happy I have a moment to breathe and tell everyone it's finished. Been on my mind for a hot minute, but I can't abandon the gardens so I can join the Keyboard Warrior brigrade lol.. now that 99% of everything is completed in the new spot I'll have more free time though. Until I start the next one, anyways.. I'm supposed to be doing another 3 "consultations" by the new year as well.

I'll also take some individual photos of the plants I've got rolling in there from seed today or tomorrow. Everything that's popped as sexed so far has been female save for one of the MM's, which I was hoping for a stellar male from anyway to test out breeding. Very stellar genetic lineage, should be some absolute gold found on those. I guess I was sort of hoping the White Fire Alien was going to go male so I could BX it eventually but no matter - there shall be more!
