5 weeks flowering, done already?

I got this plant I've been flowering for some time, I am not sure but buds first started forming on about july 1st and it already is looking close to done. I dont know what strain it is for sure but it's a clone from a plant I just flowered last time and it took a full 2 months to finish. It's already looking delicious, hairs are quickly changing, I took a small nug and looked on the microscope at it's mostly cloudy with 2-5% amber already. Dried it out in a toaster oven and shit got me stoned for sure. I guess i don't have a problem with this since I am out of weed and broke but I thought it would fatten up a bit more.

I have been just carrying it in and outside every 12 hours or so, also moving it under my hid when the sun isn't out or whatever. I tended to err on the side of giving it extra dark if I was late with moving stuff by 30 mins or something but I was pretty good about maintaining 12/12.

I've heard giving them more dark like, 10/14 can lead to early ripening but this seems a little dramatic. I realize the amount of variables here would make it hard to pin down but I am just curious what would cause a plant to ripen so much quicker in some cases. Can they finish early if they are really well cared for and given lots of light? It has been getting blasted by direct sun for a good 8 hours a day with reflective stuff on the ground around it, then moved indoors under 600 watt hps really close for the other 4 hours. I just took another test nug just an hour ago and I am surprised by how baked I am from quick drying haha.

Also weeee first post dont hate me

Hey tbs,

I did this same thing just recently with a plant that I would set in direct sunlight for several hours, kinda experimenting. I noticed that the pistils were turning brown just about the same point in flower 5-6 weeks, for a plant that should of gone 10 weeks.

Thought it was done at first, the trics were still mostly clear, but a few had turned amber. I ended up going almost the normal time, 65-70 days and it was ready. I think the strong sun was on my plant when the sun was most intense and was too much. I would agree that being a clone, as in your case, could be a factor in finishing early also. I think the time in the sun kinda mellowed it out, but didn't hurt the overall potency.
