What's new

New Outdoor grow

I wasn't planning on going to bigger pots, thought these would be big enough. Would you recommend bigger? I had mulled over the idea of topping but hadn't done anything yet about it. I have never topped before but I've seen a few videos and stuff so I'm familiar, just never put it into practice. was thinking about maybe a little more LST because i am def trying to keep them more bushy than up.

i think that it depends-

what time of the year is it where you live? i.e are the girls about to go into flower soon?

2. if they are still growing (in veg), they would benefit from a transplant to a bigger pot which will also allow you more room to LST. you can actually bend the top cola sideways so that the sun hits a lot more sites. i've done it last month and my plant exploded with new growth.

good luck!!

I would go with bigger pots. Welcome back to growing! I have some friends who had to take breaks for various reasons, and each one said they felt so much more like themselves once they got back in the game. Good luck to you and your ladies!

UPDATE w/pics!!!

Hey Guys been awhile since i updated but they are doing great. Looks like 1 out of the 3 is a female so i got two males, bummer but thats the way the cookie crumbles with bag seed.

So to update. Everyones suggestions here have been super helpful. Thanks for that guys, i LST'd more with the other two and the undergrowth took off. I also moved to bigger pots on all of them and they took off there as well.. So kudos to all of you for the suggestions.

Question, is there actually anything to do with the male plants or am i better off just killing them? Obviously i don't wanna pollenate my lady, but can you make hash or butter or anything with them? If so, how far away from the girl should they be so they don't pollenate her?

Looks good, the I prefer LST over crimping (bending the stem until there is a small break) just because the thought of messing it up makes me uneasy. An added stealthy benefit to LST, is that it is possible to keep your plants around 2ft tall and run them horizontally.

Update 8-21

Update 8-21

Hey Guys,
So all said and done, 1 out of four was female. The one i had in the ground in my veggie garden turned out to be male as well, so that sucker is gone. Just got this beauty now and man she is purty. The LST was such a good idea as she has at least 12 bud sights right now all flowering nicely.

At this point are there any tricks people swear by to boost the bloom? I know there are nutrients such as "bloom booster" but i don't have any experience with them. ?
