I was looking at the plants tonight and I noticed the PB4 is a male I believe not a hermie since there are only male preflowers on the nodes and no female preflowers on that one and on the other PB3 has only female preflowers. Odd since they are supposed to be feminized and I remember seeing one other person found a male in their LVPK x Pre 98 Bubba pack.

Keeping it around for now still, see how it matures in flower here over the next couple weeks, if its a straight male and not hermie then I will use some PKBubs pollen too this round along with the shorty male OX4. If its a herm obviously will be culled but as of now looks like a male to me but its only day 7 of 12/12.

It would sure be fun to get out and throw a round with you. You are always leaving little disc golf teasers in your pics. The plants look great and I an eager to see them flower this round. I should have my AB's up and running by the end of September.

Hahah, nice. Ya I havent even played in a long time, never was good at it. Discs make great trays for many purposes.

Nice you got some ABs your building up? How many you going to run and what current?

I have two 3000k's that I will run in my micro ngb box. I picked up a couple of those alpine 11 plus coolers and will be mounting them both to a chunk of 1/4" aluminum plate. This plate will go on top of my box and keep the fans and most of the heat on the outside. This will allow more headroom and less ventilation which are two problem areas I have been fighting.

I haven't picked out my drivers yet but I would like to find a couple meanwells that can be run at 1400-1900ma and dimmable. Money and an upcoming trip will keep me from starting before late September unfortunately. Check out my thread in my sig for a better idea of my work space.

Nice, sounds like a good plan.

When I bought my first COB I was going to build a little test cab for it and cut a hole in the top for the COB to stick in through and the heatsink/fan remain on the outside of the cab but never build a test cab just went for it and bout some more stuff to convert the tent over to LED.

Should keep a good portion of the heat outside of the cab, the COBs do put out some heat from the light emitting side as well but the heatsink side will shed heat outside the cab well. Having the heatsink outside the cab will have lower temps of air being blown through the heatsink so it will run the COB cooler easier too resulting in better efficiency and longevity with better lumen maintenance.

Ill have to look a bit, if you are only running 2 COBs you might be able to get a single Meanwell that is 1400-1900mA max and dimmable to run both COBs off one driver.

Day 10 12/12

OXs are back left corner, middle left, center, and middle right. PKxBubbas are back right corner and back center. Front left and front right are Sugar Jones.

Once the PB4 and OX4 (males) are removed the 6 ladies will be in 3 rows of 2, 2 deep and 3 wide, should be plenty of space and will LST the branches outward to make use of the space better and provide better penetration into the plants.

Day 13 12/12 Update

OX2 OX3 OX4 and PB3 PB4 cuts have all rooted, waiting on OX1 to root and hopefully one of the couple little PB1 (mutant runt) cuts I took before I tossed it out.

Put OX4 and PB4 (males) outside to continue flowering until I can collect some pollen. I want to make OX F2s and PB F2s? (what would they be F2s made from a feminized cross). Might do a small pollination of a bud or two, OX male to PB female and PB male to OX females too, undecided on that.

Heres the boys outside OX4 in front PB4 in back

The 6 ladies left in the tent, OXs are two on left and one back right, PB in back center, SJs in front right and center.

Day 19 12/12 Update

Plants have gotten even more yellowed and honestly look like shit but I will still continue post pics. Not scared to show my fuckups though I prefer to show my successes. Past two runs I have been experimenting with reused soil and different samples of nutes and managed to mess the plants up a bit both times. Im going back to the basics next round and doing what has worked well in the past, hate to try new things and keep messing things up.

Heres them all in the tent

edit: Forgot to say that the male OX and male PBK started dropping a small amount of pollen a few days ago so I should be collecting some pollen and pollinating the ladies within the week.

And finally some plants that actually look good. These are the Sugar Jones clones I am testing out in 100% coco coir with Floranova Bloom (blue tape one gets Floralicious Plus too). Pretty damn impressed with this method. Still not adjusting pH at all and currently feeding around 1.35ec.

Wow you can definitely see the difference in the medium/nute combo that is for sure. Still though, even with the yellowing your plants look vibrant and alive. At least you know it is not the lighting, and can trace it to something easily changed. Those Sugar Jones look badass man.

Great grow and pics! Even the lighter green ones are nicely structured . I agree with nuskool89, your coco ones look super healthy.

Coco is great! Ever thought of bottom feeding or dripping in a hydro way?

Thanks guys

Ive been hand watering drain to waste daily (now 2x a day) 1 qt each at lights on or within the first hour or so and then another half qt each in the middle of the lights on period before I go to bed. Im really digging the results so far as far as growth speed/structure/overall health, will have to see how the quality of the smoke compares to my normal organic routine (thats why I chose to run clones of a strain I have already grown organically to compare). If the final product turns out great and smokes/tastes really good or at least very comparable to the organic buds then I might consider switching over to just coco since its so cheap and easy.

If I made a complete switch, I would definitely have to setup a drip system, drain table, and slightly elevated container to catch the runoff water with a valve placed low so I can drain it easily.

Attempted some pollination last night of the ladies using both males. I used the qtip method to apply tiny amounts of pollen to the buds I want to seed.

I used OX4 pollen an all three OX females, one main branch each got pollinated from top to lower buds and a small lower branch on each OX was pollinated with PB4 pollen. And vice versa for the PB3 female getting mostly PB4 pollen and a little OX4 pollen. I also pollinated two small branches on one of the SJ clones, with OX4 and PB4 pollen for the hell of it.

Have to wait a couple days to see if I get some withered pistils on the treated buds indicating successful pollination. Been almost 24hrs and no signs yet but in the past has taken 2-5 days to show sometimes from my experiences.

Here are the males minus one main branch each used to collect pollen. PB4 (left) OX4 (right). Nice structures for being un-topped they leveled out pretty nicely themselves.
