Good Afternoon Canada! I love all of the hardworking pot growers who care about growing top quality fine herbs. Living here for a long time, all that ever went around here was china-bud, Master Kush, Purple Kush, and some other types of kush that can be harvested fast. But that all changed thanks to you guys who helped me become legal so that i may take my medicine into my own hands and grow the strains i need for my illnesses and organic. I love all the great genetics that the growers/breeders before me have put out and i am proud to grow out these strains and smoke them and share them out to everyone i trust! I feel we should spread the love as much as possible.
I don't want to seem emotional about the topic but it's been hard fitting in with the people from the past now that i've taken this new turn in my life and in all honesty i love it but it gets lonely… THeres not too much people i can share my world with without being a little paranoid to sleep at night. I've met a couple people in the city (Toronto) that grow as well and its cool now how we trade clones, equipment, and now I'm spreading out genetics i get from Cali so hopefully my streets will have some White Fire OG, or some Triple Deez or some Faded Alien x Loompa's headband! This is what we need to change that stupid saying about pot smokers being lazy as it is the indica's that caused that saying. if there are any other Toronto growers that would like to link up please pm me. I know its hard trusting someone u meet online but this is 2014 and there are tons of ways to communicate first before meeting in person. Im looking to exchange RARE genetics with growers who know RARE genetics and i am looking to help new growers who need genetics or tips. Im not a pro as i only have been growing for a year but if you look at my albums i Grow DANK!!! so ya i have quite a bit to share lol.
ANyways I Just wanted to say a big thanks and keep up the good work, we are stronger together.

It would be great, if it was that easy.

Where it's legal you still have to be careful, of the rip, and of the possibility of laws being rolled back and the wrong people having your details.

Where it's still illegal, most places, the notion is fanciful.

I'd be careful of the RARE bait.

Once you have been growing for a while, you will be invited and you will invite others into your inner circle. Its the natural way of things, not just will Cannabis, but all things. So...What you are talking about and craving, will happen, its something that just can't be pushed. If you let it happen naturally over a period of time, you will end up with people you trust and will develop lasting friendships, you will meet people of your same kind and nature.

I understand you are new and excited about all the possibilities of the cannabis grow world...I was there once too. But, believe me, meeting good people is like drinking a good wine. It needs to be taken slowly...Trust is something earned.

In this business the worst thing that a grower can have is a partner
By giving out your hows and wheres you are quite literally putting your life into their hands
Time and/or money can bring out some undesirable traits in folks
Be smart, regret can be very costly

Not trying to be a "debby downer" but telling the wrong person can literally cost you your life

Isn't that why we are all on the internet? So we don't have to take the risk of meeting others that share our passion in person and can instead do it freely and anonymously online? Meeting other growers in person (especially to trade clones) is the best way to put yourself and your garden at risk, and in a wide variety of ways: cops, robbers, pests, disease, etc. There are all sorts of people trolling for info on these forums (LEO and less friendly types) just looking for an opportunity. You'd be amazed at the lengths some people will go to in order to gain your trust and hit you where it hurts.

Growing is all about mitigating risk, and some of us are more risk-averse than others. Personally, when it comes to my freedom and the protection of my property and belongings, I would never meet another random grower that I encountered on some online forum. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not to much into the internet kinda meet up...but like already mentioned, you'll find an inner circle just be patient.
I'm probably a lil' older then the OP, hell I didn't even have an email account letalone know how to turn one of these on until four years ago.

Thought Overgrow was some kinda hippy slang that these guys where throwing around...

Point is, the 20+ years I grew plants outside before trying the indoor scene...I got my seeds from trusted people I've known for many years. Not from randoms I met off the internet.

And in all fairness, your just as likely to get burned from your life long friend as you are from meeting someone off the net. Just be cautious, and like mentioned, mitigate risk.

Maybe the peeps that wanna do this could meet up and have a meet and greet.........It's hard to trust peeps, but if were all puffing and relating stories might be a good foundation for our own IC/canada circle which would be really cool I think........Maybe meet at marco's event in TO for example.

If people meet in person and for seeds/pollen (not clones) as opposed to mailing things then there shouldn't be an issue really, sure buddy has seen me, but he doesn't know who I am from Adam and doesn't know where I live, just that it is with in driving distance of where we met (maybe).

I will be making a nice run of seeds (not my own but a recreate of a breeders line for more planting) and would love to meet and swap with others. I am also somewhere near the 401.

using the new OnRoute locations provides a nice sense of anonymity

Good points^^^^^ I am doing some chuck'n this season too........Some auto's, Guerrilla Golds, Mountain jam2........and some others? wtf were they again.......oh yeah, Jackpine and medicine man.
