New to the game

Well i posted this over in Introductions but I have a feeling I will be spending most of my time in this area. Hope I am not offending any mods by posting this here as well, just trying to make some e-friends :comfort:

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Hey ICMag, new to the cultivation game and enjoying things so far. I am a Canuck and am 2 weeks into flower in my new set up. Currently we are using soil and LED lights, loving the learning curve they are giving me.

I am using a 2X4X5 tent, large fan and carbon scrubber.
I am growing 1x Big Buddah Blue Cheese
1x Vision Big bud
1x 00Seeds Auto bubble gum (to give autos a shot)

The bubble gum is in a DWC bucket and is only about a week out of the rockwool.

I have been browsing many many cannabis cultivation forums but the community seemed best here (please don't let me down) also there seemed to be a large group of Canadians here as well which I liked.

I plan on making my own AUTO femmed seeds this winter with some CS and my stock of 4 Freedom Purple Auto Express.

Ill be starting a small journal here in the Canadian section and will update this intro with a link.

Any other small scale personal growers in Canada who have journals I could scope on?

Hey man, thanks for popping in, what is your current setup? Can I check it out in a thread somewhere?

I've heard that before, I'm happy with it so far, I've used 750w ups before and enjoyed it. Call it an experience. I wasn't nice to my girls in early veg and stunted things by keeping the light to close (see:led learning curve) so this time that are a bit short @26 inches but I've got lots of beans, a nice basement set up tent, and nothing but time :)

Nice! I'll be playing that game next year with some auto flowers for fun.

Thanks for dropping in, I'll post some more details and updates this weekend.

How do you find the summers up here for growing?

I've heard great things about coco, I'm using growstones in my dwc but may try coco when I expand it shortly.

I grow both indoor and out...though out this year has been a disaster compliments of bambi's mamma.

Currently running 4k HPS bloom..

The lead gal in my Harem is my White Widow...but I have a kush and a few other new girls that I have high hopes for.

This is 3 clones of my WW under 2k HPS in my 8x12 room...

Paradox:

I don't mind losing the OD so much....I just use OD to try old fem seeds I made 15 or so yrs ago anyways and any pollen chucking experiments from over the winter... With bin's of jars at home...I won't cry for a dozen or so ladies. Only 1 I was really curious about anyways and she is surrounded with chicken wire... Self'd WW that for some reason is growing purple folliage from the start....

What pisses me off is the same deer eating my veggie garden.... And since it is a doe...no chance of putting her in the freezer as it is BUCK only season this year...

I know it is the same one as it is has a hand sized scar on its back end....

Thats an impressive setup!! I am really interested in trying some of Chimera's beans as they look amazing.

Also a lot of ppl seem to be running WW for good smoke and yield, I may have to look into that.

Just a quick update, I'll add some pictures tomorrow most likely

I have a 4x2 Lighthouse hydro tent in my basement.

480W V2.0 blackstar LED light

Ill have to check on my nute line up tonight as I forget the brand but it consists of simply N,P,K nothing more.
also a Cal,Mag additive as the LED's seem to need this

The soil is promix mixed with a touch of potting soil (nothing fancy)
in 4 gal pots

I also have a Bubble bucket/DWC whatever you choose to call it with a 3.5 inch net pot and a single autoflower in it as an experiment, I have yet to start feeding this one as it is only a week above the rockwool, but I think I will use the lucas formula when the time comes.

I plan on adding a 4x4 tent as my new flower tent and using the 2x4 as a veg/mother/dry room

Try collecting piss in some poly milk cartons & leave the bottles in the sun so it turns rank then sprinkle round your garden .

I had some weird ass looks when my sister in law found my piss jug stash in the shed. Totally thinks im a weirdo. But the ranker the piss jug the better it works

In the south UK our biggest bastard is the Muntjak a small deer size of a collie dog , eat everything in the garden & love MJ plants . I used the piss & one year tried Irish Spring soap cut into cubes about an 1" & placed in netting on canes pushed in by the plants , 100% success .

damn mid october hey? Our indoor strains will finish up around then. But all our outdoor strains finish up mid september with the auto finishing mid to end of august. Also in the Okanagan.
