Light Depro in Alaska and Canada

Is anyone doing this? In Alaska or Canda where it's only getting to 60's in the summer? I'm trying to do research on light dep but all can find for quality auto darkening (motorized trap I guess) Is forever flowering greenhouses. Kinda on the spendy side though. But from looking online there products appear to be quality and I like how you can be blacked out and still have airflow with fans running. There's got to be other cheaper compareable depro greenhouses in the 24x24 - 30x60 right? Share what you know

Back in the 80s and 90s in the interior people were using hoop houses with visqueen and surplus army tarps...it wasn't fancy..but it worked...year in year out...don't remember how the ventilation was set up...can't wait to see what can be done with these more modern set ups...that alaskan sun gets shit grown! Hope you find what you need...let us know what happens...good luck

Just time it, so you hit the best part of the summer and you can do very well, but you need to TRY and find out what works best for you..

Tons of ways to set up a light dep aks i an try to help

If you get rounded iron beams and ram in the ground, arch style and volia you have a structure, then in one end add some sticks in the ground and find a good old powerfull farm ventilator and put it on the ground, with the ventilator going 24/7 you will have negative pressure inside the greenhouse and it will hold the plastic tight, no need to mount it to the frame.. now you are rolling really primitive but in this manner i have grown for many moons.. you pull it down every year and it can be set up in 4 houres by two

all outside ruderalis/autoflower projects are scrapped, they literally cannot tolerate the drop to 60F at night. Now this might be strain dependant, but I coud see it done with a heat source.

I've moved to regular cannabis grows in a controlled environment.

I havent given up on the outdoor thing, but right now its a no go. I'm working on a spot in the interior but its really a side project.
