No plant pics..... only two sunsets, back to back.
so some folks may be interested in what the Skunkdawg s1 they have looks like...
i know I have said chunk and poddy, and she is.
it grows bigger more "dutch skunk" like colas than the skunkdawg kibble buds...
also I think it is safe to say this particular individual yields better than the parent skunkdawg.
BUT WHAT DOES SHE LOOK LIKE?!?
this one is a little beat up, but.... @ 60 days
Man, plants are all done, garden is where it should be, there is but one crappy little thing left, to do, on my plate this month. And if you ain't been able to tell it's this.
See I'm kinda just screwing around by wraping a song in most of the posts I give a shit about. Fact of the matter is that I have done this too many times and without a new wrinkle.....you know where this is heading. Bathtub. Gunshot.
Todays word is overeach. Excuse me, words.
Allow me an example;
The past couple of weeks I have been trying to fit the entire Pink Floyd album 'Animals' into a post. Seriously, how hard can it be? It's five fuckin', no, really four and a half lousey tunes! And I failed, I failed miserably. While I was figuring how to slam the square peg into the round hole, nothing was getting done. There is an example of an overeach.
And, for the record, I could have done it. I still may try to pull it off somewhere down the road. Maybe in smaller bites.
We all know that on one side of the overeach coin is absolute, utter, complete, failure. Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200.00. We accept this as fact. But,many times the coin is put back down with the other side left unexamined. Using simple logic the other side of the overeach coin has some pretty cool shit. Try absolute, utter, complete, sucess! Pass Go, hell, do it a few times, we don't care! Take what you want from the bank as you spin by! That, boys and girls, is the often unexamined side of overeach.
Yea, I got one for ya. And it fits like a glove.
Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been playing hard,
Sitting, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars, yeah we'll be counting stars.
You know some of the story of this year.....so far. The late start, the wet Winter, and a pile of other excuses and reasons, none of which means shit in the big picture....Long story short, the late start encouraged me to experiment in the overeach department. Me and overeach go wayback.
Change gears.
What would you rather have? Great Skill, or Above Average Luck. I'll take b please. I'd rather be lucky than good.
Your Honor! I object! Is there a point here?
Begging the courts permision, I am getting there.
I see this life like a swinging vine
Swing my heart across the line
And my face is flashing signs
Seek it out and you shall find
Oh, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so right
Doing the wrong thing
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I could lie, could lie, could lie
Everything that kills me makes me feel alive
Point is if you want to overeach the easy way to do it is with a lot of luck and a constantly updated Oh Shit! plan. So far the weather luck is strong. The goddess has been kind. The rain has come only after almost all the first wave plants were harvested. The replacements got quite the nice jump thanks the the five or so inches we had in two seperate two day events. Both events came with plenty of warning. That gave me the time to tie everything up, so we came thru that rain unscathed. Should GH go this week my plan will fail. Epicly. Next week? there may be some unnecessary removals. The week after? That's what I'm aiming for.
After that point, the overeach has paid off. A week past that is gravy territory. Should by some quirk we reach that sacred place it would set me up for the full quick replant twice more before the year is done. Getting to that point the odds in my mind are 80-20 against.
I never said it would be easy. That's why they call it overeaching.
I feel the love and I feel it burn
Down this river, every turn
Hope is a four-letter word
Make that money, watch it burn
Oh, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I could lie, could lie, could lie
Everything that downs me makes me wanna fly.
Now a few thoughts on the Scogi's. They look great! It makes sense. Take two exceptional strains, slap them together, your not gonna get alotta trash. Here is the vanguard mistreated Scogi our friendly ghost spit out. Not bad for a poor rootbound example. The ones inground look way better. If I had known....or had any faith, I should have done seven at once instead of four and two.
Now let's see what you guys busted when I was gone.
Grey...You have the subtley of a chancer sore on a hookers forehead. And what's with the vanity shirts? Dude! Wear one of those fuckin glow in the dark shirts out fishing and I swear I will throw rocks at you all nite long.
Yea Arthritis....Weez is an old fart. Real old. Older than dirt. Me? Not so much. And you are absolutly correct. You are indeed on the wrong island. Some cages have too many rats. But your in luck. Flights leave daily. Here's one now. On the hour.
Fact of the matter is I will be on your rock later this week. I've played all the golf courses here too many times and love to look for new ground. You play? PM me. We suck at golf, but you'll get high....maybe thats why we suck....
Backyard.....above please find your requested sunset shots.
Kalo, Country.....first day we got pounded too. Thunder and lightning. Lot's of rain fell fast. Next day was lighter and longer. About five inches total. I have not seen summer lightning here in 15 years. It was beautiful.
Take that money
Watch it burn
Sing in the river
The lessons are learnt

To da top.update us oh and come by and snap some skogi love shots.as u en know dis could be last chance, green harvest should fly dis week..may da lord shiva bless us dis week from Babylon and da weather.cheeeeeeee.
Fuck it! I knew it. Something like this heading our way down the pike. Things were just too easy.
This week is flat out gonna suck. I sure hope I'm wrong....But I think we will be blasted by either a weak hurricane or a strong tropical storm. Maybe both will hit. There are two out there, both heading our way. The first will be here Thursday night, the second, probably Sunday.
The first one, Iselle, has me worried. This storm went annular very early in it's life. Annular storms are very efficent animals. And rare, so some of the models have it hitting us as a full on hurricane, others as a blob of rain with 40 mph winds. Chasing behind, about three days is Julio. And the voices in my head tell me all the choppers are in place to fly the August Green Harvest. Though why the hell they would is beyond me, since I think the storm is kinda gonna do a much more efficent job than they ever could, toward fuckin' everybody's trip up.
So what do you do, besides taking everything far too early, or letting the wind and rain trash everything?
Fuck! Don't ask me! Any wind over 60...pretty much game over. It really depends on which way it passes us. All of my gardens do have windbreaks....but they won't do shit against a hurricane. Then you had better have a room full of big replacements. Replace and replant as quickly as possible....If you have a house left. Depending at what comes, I can go so far as to pull down planters, and bring entire young flowering clones inside. The big Scogi plants have all been framed, and tied up. Same with any clone that has a possibility of dragging a bud through the mud. Then there are three plants ready to take at the first sign of rain.
So, there is a plan, but the plan will need to evolve as events on the ground change. The unfortunate thing is that half of my entire harvest for this year is now under threat. Not only mine, but everyone that grows here, outside, inground.
Now, before you write me off as dead meat, keep a few things in mind. Most hurricanes that hit us come out of the Central Pacific. Storms like Isbelle, on track from the Eastern Pacific must run a long way and hit a very small target, On that track , they hit the big Island first, and all the smaller islands hide behind the BI. If this storm travels just a hair farther west, before making it's turn, it'll miss us.
But a Tropical Storm watch has just been issued.... so who knows. Any way it is a good bet this week is gonna suck. Might as well embrace it.
OH, I'm back east for the summer here on the mainland. We already road out one hurricane last month. It was almost fun to watch the girls get battered in veg state. "Do your worst storm, you're only preparing them for the fall". They've trunks like you wouldn't believe now.
Damn OH, fingers crossed hopin for the best for you and all the boys and girls there. It would be a shame if GH or that bitch Iselle does any harm to those beautiful ladies.
I haven't grown large plants in the ground for decades and we seem to make a much bigger deal about hurricanes than we did when I was younger, but I remember a few hikes after the storms were passed to see what was left.
Sometimes you get lucky. Sure hope it works out for ya.
Hoo boy!
This is not a drill.
It's about to get rowdy up in here.
Iselle regained Hurricane strength and is headed directly for the Big Island.
Will hit Thursday afternoon.
My cage can handle 70mph. winds, but those 100mph gusts have me worried.
Guess the jungle sleeps inside with the lions for a couple days.
Got too many pets for the shelter so we're gonna ride it out here.
I'm most concerned about Dirtboy though.
He's on the wrong side of the Island for this.
Hey D.B?
I know that you built the greenhouse well, but it wouldn't hurt to throw some rope over it.
That shape is an airfoil, it's gonna try to fly, yah?
