so i built myself a 50 site aero cloner(about 8 years ago) and up until now i had 100% success rates. now all of a sudden every cut i put in it rots below the surface(cuts are held with black ez cloner plugs) immediedly i thought it was contaminated so i bleached it out then cleaned it with 35%h202 i did this to every surface are inside and on the outside as well. took a new batch of cuts and its doing it again. the stems literally are turning grey and have a slimy film on them. i wish i had pics... the resevoir is aerated with air pumps andair stones plus the mister. the only thing i can think is causing this is after years of use the actual ez cloner discs have gotten fungi (damping off?) inbedded in them and it transfers it to the clone. anyone have this experience or anytips on sterilizing everything would be cool. does anyone know the dillution rate % wise for adding h202 to the rez to ensure a sterile (or at least sanitary) environment. thanks!

I replace the neoprene discs on my cloner once a year.

2 to 3 mL per gallon of h2o2 at 35%

20 to 30 mL per gallon of h2o2 at 3.5% or drug store strength

you have to watch the heat this time of year too . if the water is to hot it'll dampen off the stems real quick ! easy way to tell is the small leaves will start to turn black in the center . might have to go with a cycle timer with 1 minute on 4 minutes off , its the only way i could get mine to cool down , with out having to stick frozen bottles of water in it every day .
get a aquarium thermometer & check your temps .... over 80 degrees is death .
