Best organic potting soil in Canada?

I moved from the states and can't seem to find FFOF anywhere. Is it available in Canada? I hear you can't bring soil over the border...

Any other recommendations on a good organic potting soil?

not sure this is what you are after, but recently I've been using reindeer's natural 'easy bake' from the island.. throw a bag in with a bale of promix/coco, some rock dust or whatever else you like, and you got a good base with no cooking required. I'm sure there is better, but it has worked well for me. I find his other stand alone organic nutes are high quality as well.. decent/helpful guy as well.

and.. welcome to canada. ;)

an easy fix is mix "the answer" from costco 50% to "sea soil" made in bc.50%

average finishing plants may only need 1-3 pk doses peak flower and ripen. or leave plants out in the rain and do their own thing

What goodies? I'm only going to be in this spot for a year so I don't know if it makes sense to make an ultimate organic soil mix. I think I'd rather feed the plant with Go Organics Nutes and a solid base soil.

Then go with either promix hp or sunshine #4.. Easy base soil. We add kelp meal, bone, blood meal, oyster shell, crab shell, rock phosphate and the norms like worm casting, guano and alfalfa

Thanks!! Do you let it sit for a while or put those in and plant immediately?

min 1 week cook time.. 2-4 weeks is best but we have used it on larger clones at 1 week with no weirdness in the plants..

Black diamond soil services in grindrod bc(north okanagan). I've used their steam sterilized top soil indoors with very good results. Beats sea soil hands down.

I presume you're using bottled nutrients? Because sterilized soil sounds quite unappealing to me as an organic gardener.

Sea soil is excellent humus for a supersoil mix - not as good as your own compost done right mind you, but good anyway.

Curious about what your guys are offering though.

Thanks I'll get it going this week. Planting mid september.

I'll see which base soil the local shops have.

I already have alfalfa and kelp meal. I don't want to buy too many different "ingredients" but what else would be essential?

Going to be running the GO box but I'd like a solid easy to make base soil as well.

I AGREE! I grabbed 6 truck loads from them last year. I grabbed the strait up organic garden soil they have. Plus some 50/50 garden and top soil mix. My veggie and greenhouse frickin loves that soil. It almost looks like pure worm castings. Gorgeous stuff!

Edit.. i was wrong the stuff we grabbed was from Blue Mountain nursery.. still some very good soil coming out of the armstrong area
