hello people i seem to have ants on my outdoor plants i have yet to see this problem, the plants are in holes/ in ground that have been previously used before. I have seen them going up and down on the main stalk and branches, i asked a buddy what it could be he said maybe a broken branch? I seem to have a rolly polly problem also in my soil i heard they could be eating at dead or rotted roots and or i heard they were a good thing? Ive used D.E. probly 2 times since transplanting in May on my top soil around the base of the plant, and fogged them with azamax probly a hand full of times already. I put 5 plants in the ground in 15 gallon buckets with plenty of holes for drainage and have not seen any ants or problem with them. Thanks in advance farmers

according to ed rosenthals marijuana pests and diseases ants are usually indicative of an aphid problem....apparently they like to herd the aphids.check it out

I had ants on my pear sapling and I hit the dirt with an azamax soil drench and when the surface of the soil dried enough, I put on some DE.

Diatomaceous Earth seemed to really help, but you gotta apply it to the soil in dry conditions. It loses it's ability to kill ants if it gets wet.

I don't worry about some ants on my plants.

It's true they herd aphids, but if aphids are chowing on your cannabis you have deeper problems than the ants.

Ants on the ground are usually OK. Ants on your plants are almost certainly farming aphids or other insects that suck sap and excrete 'honeydew'.

I've got ants on all my sick plants. I've treated for root aphids, but it could be they are more tenacious than I thought. I'm positive the ants around the base of the stem are not
At all good

Aphids seem to leave my girls alone. However they love my kale and colliflower. Ive been taking organic tobacco and hitting them with a nicotine tea. Actually seems to work. Indoors Ive had to use the evil Bayer, and it did the trick after one application.

That's not an ant problem, that's an aphid problem and anyone suggesting you kill the ants isn't really thinking things through. Ladybugs love to eat aphids.
