Damn Hugh that really sucks bro. Glad the grow equipment didn't get zapped atleast. Sucks about everything else getting hit though. We have had some serious storms roll through lately, had some equipment at the shop get zapped.

Glad everything worked out for you and no one got hurt in the accident. Those things can be replaced over time. It could have been a lot worst. Stay in good spirit and keep it rolling.....

damn sure has the look dp, I'd keep an eye on him/her lol
Winner!!! Fucker grew almost another foot in the last week and the nanners are showing up.

I think I'll cut it way back and put it back under lights until the other clones get big enough to make some seed.

I'll try to get some more pics up soon but these things are stretching so much that it's tough to take pics without compromising security. They are all in large pots but that male is over 6' and the rest are not far behind. Makes it real tough to move them for any reason and hard to find a spot where I can get good pics......

Sucks dude - be careful if you get a used PC, ya never know what's lurking on those damn things. PM me if you have any questions.

Alright its been a while since ive posted but I need some advice. Im wanting to do a shipping container but cant decide how to insulate it properly so I dont get mold issues. Anybody got any experience here? I figured best to ask here first since yall share the same climate as me.

I dont know about those time sensitive 1s but the refridgerated shipping containers where way too expensive. Reg container 40' is 3k but a refridgerated is 10k+ and I figured I could insulate for way under 7k. And yeah cat its me.

Afternoon fellow FGTer's.

It's been one fuck up after another round here. Sorry I haven't posted much, there just hasn't been a point it would all be negative or bitching.
I did want to share some things that might be of use.

Problems with Phosphorus being locked out by PH troubles
Cold wet soils, acid or very alkaline soils, compacted soil.

From, Joe's Fresh Guide to Sick Plant Diagnosis

Just about a month ago I replaced my T5's in my juvenile veg box. It was time, I suppose they were about a year old. The next day or so the plants looked great, I could tell they loved the light.

Sitting here writing this it seems so elementry what went awry and when, but that's hindsight, it's always 20/20. And these things happen slowly, so it hard to spot it right when it starts.

The Cinderella99BX-1 girl I have can be, a little,,,,,bitchy. But in someways that's a good thing, like a danio in fish tank ( known as indicator fish) they tell you when something is "going on".
True to fashion, she started showing signs of stress, slow growth, limp leaves and necrosis. Then Bubba and the Chunk started looking stressed, the Chunk is hardy so when she's pissed you know you have a problem.

My juvenile veg box is no more then eight feet from and outside door in a garage environment. I know it is the source of a lot of my grief and that realistically I'll never be completely rid of pest. I will always have to be "on guard" and have a "pest control plan" in place.
Being in a garage area going in and out during the summer is like going from a incinerator ( the average outside temp in the Florida summer) to a nice pleasant, all be it humid, room. In the winter it's almost a sauna feeling.
Going in and out was not really that different from any other time, except for the puddle in front of the door, it had never really been there much. I have a 8k btu window unit above the door. Its one of those that removes it own water and cools the back side of the unit in the process.
Once in a while it would maybe leave a few drops on the floor on a real humid day. This had started to mildew the door so I hit it with some bleach and figured I needed to take a look a see what was going on. Nothing seemed out of place except the water level. So I added a drip pan and moved along.

I thought maybe I should give them a good flush, check the ph. It all seemed fine. I thought "well maybe I got a little over zealous with the neem and damaged the leaves."
As the days went on I was getting a little concerned, I needed these ready for re-potting and they just weren't ready. I know I have some spider mites here and there, so I stepped up my treatments.
That didn't help, so I hit the "Infirmary". Doing the old scan over the pics I noticed the some look just a like a few of mine under "Phosphorous Deficiency" and read that line above. Then it hit me, the puddle. Then I thought the coco had not been drying out like normal ( "dry" for coco) and looked a bit like coffee grounds.

I grabbed my trusty infrared thermometer, pointed it at the dead digital thermometer on the wall ( batteries went bad, all was good so I never replaced them, lazy) and it was 76f in there, some areas were colder, say like right behind the fans that moved the cold air right up under my girls.
I turned around to look at the temp reading on the A/C and bamm, there it was....the thermocouple had come loose from the clip and was a good 3'' away from the condenser, it supposed to be 1/4''. Damn thing has been running flat out since the bulb change....I guess.

Got the room back at 81-82f and I could see a difference in hours. The next morning it was clear that was the problem, they just looked more pert. Within a few days they are back to growing at there normal rate, looking lush and healthy.

Hope all is well with you guys, Cata, how did the A/C install work for you?
Ass, good to see you have back up so you can get out and about, how was your trip?

Be Safe,
MK:ying:

P.S.
I've got part two to my saga I'll post later, I have to go replant!
I'll title it "Umm, what the fuck....shit, can just take the borg please." or "Damn, figures"

Hint, I just ordered one of these http://www.celestron.com/browse-shop/microscopes/digital-microscopes/lcd-digital-microscope-ii mines just not cutting it.
